Hello all, Hello again to some I know from way back.
I am the Security Manager for Casino New Brunswick out here in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.
Tonight, our Entertainment Centre is hosting the Summerland Tour. The tour consists of Everclear, Filter, Sponge and Live. Stupid me but I just found out that the singer for Live is none other that Chris Shinn.
Pretty pumped about that. I've never met Mr.Shinn and am looking forward to it. I've spent the last few weeks thinking of how I can tie Blind Melon in to the conversation I will be having with Art from Everclear. Guess I don't really have to think anymore.
Exciting stuff.....now I think I see my shadow...I will dissapear for a while again...

Sooooo met Chris last night. Just as I had expected.. cool as shit dude, if shit could be cool! If only all rockstars could be as down to earth and approachable as he and well, Live as well.
Actually, I had the opportunity to interact with all of them and they were nothing but great.
Back to Chris though, I have nothing but respect for him. Our conversation turned from great show to all about Blind Melon. Great night.

I went to the Columbus tour stop last night. As I was walking towards the venue I saw Chris walking down the street, talking on his cell phone. I waited until he was done and then said, "Chris, you probably don't remember me but I interviewed you when Christopher and Brad asked me to write the bio for the Luma.net site." Whether or not he remembered me, he said he did and was very friendly. We chatted for a few minutes and then he said he was going into the venue but took my cell # and said, "I'll have our tour manager call you and we'll hook you up with a backstage pass so we can continue this conversation."
Sure enough, 20 minutes later the tour manager texted me and said she had a guest pass for me and then took me to the bus to hang out for a few minutes with Chris and the two Chads.
I knew a few people who were at the show that were shocked to find out Ed wasn't fronting Live and they didn't hold out much hope for the "new" guy but after Live's set, I heard a lot of "These guys stole the show."
Chris is a good fit for Live (though I like his solo stuff and wish that would get more attention). Can't wait to see/hear what comes from those guys next.

I had the opportunity to see +Live+ at the Ogden Theater in Denver (on the Summerland Tour). It was amazing. Got to meet Chris Shinn afterwards, and he was just as cool and friendly as everyone says he is.

I've placed the Denver show in the +LIVE+ thread with some other videos from the bands fan channel WhiteDiscussion

Chris' back catalog should be re-released on Think Loud Entertainment in the near future, including a hard released of his recent solo work. He's got some EIE stuff in the works too!!
