I've been a fan of Blind melon forever it seems. I just found the forum and wasted no time signing up. When I was a kid of about thirteen I saw the great No Rain video on MTV. Yes I am that old. Immediately I loved the song and loved the visuals of the video and just the great concept of a band just jamming out in a field. Around this time I had gotten my first CD player and it was probably one of the first five cd's I ever bought. I listened and the first time I heard the most underrated song in the history of music "Change" it was all over from there. I probably listened to that song a million times in the past twenty years and it has never become old. Its sadness, happiness, despair, heart and soul all wrapped up in a bare bones track. I went many years after that listening to different music and grew older and a lil wiser and discovered Soup. I fell in love all over again. Real melon fans appreciate the sound in soup that the critics didnt get. In my opinion it was where they were really finding there sound but hadnt put it all together yet. I am so sad that there was never a true third album because it would have been a beautiful thing. I never let blind melon go and I never will. And there music has never let me go or let me down. I can fall into a state of pure bliss and forget my worries when I now pop in my earbuds and hit play on my Iphone and listen to that scratchy voice and wonderful music over and over again.
