I saw the stupid-priced listing for the vinyl on eBay yesterday. Y'know if we all showed some restraint and refused to cave in to the eBay bloodsuckers, we'd probably all end up owning it at a decent price. This is true in most cases, but not in the case of this release, which was limited to 2000 copies worldwide

Got my vinyl! Stood in line at 6:30 am in 30 degree weather, waiting for the store to open at 8. Glad I got there early because I was the 17th person in line, with about 50 people behind me. It was a mad dash for the RSD releases once the doors opened.

REALLY wish and hope this is more than just a RSD release, as the ONLY record store in my town got ZERO copies of this release, and copies are already listed on ebay for over 100 bucks.......
Here's a crazy idea: Print copies for real fans so they can BUY it without having to pay some jerk a 500% markup....
Thanks.

You would think Capitol Records would have released more copies. Maybe they will if it sells quickly which based on above comments they sold well that day.

There is one copy left at a record store in Southern NH (I'm just talking about my area).... If it doesn't sell, they will sell it on their website Monday or Tuesday at the same price they sold it on RSD... So, I would continue to check the recordstoreday.com site... search using your Zipcode and check out the stores' websites. eMail them and keep an eye on the release page. You never know...

Seems like most auctions on Ebay are ending around $70 give or take. I guess it's not terrible, but I don't know how much it would have cost in the store.

The place I went to here in Pittsburgh opened at midnight Friday night just as it turned 4/20. I went and waited in line at 8 in 38 degrees. I was the 4th in line and the first to get it. The guy right behind me got one too. I tried to get extras to give to those who couldn't get one, but they would only sell me one. The store I went to had 8-10 copies too, which I hear most places only had one or 2. I tried calling around today to see if there were any more in my area and no such luck. Mine was 25.00

Only 2000?? I'm very glad I got my copy. Mother sounds fabulous, but then again, so does the whole thing. Fingers crossed for a Soup reissue in a couple years

Yep, I have nothing but vitriol for the scalpers on ebay. I'll probably get banned from ebay for sending a real nasty message to one such scumbag who was selling it for $130. I don't much care if I do. I'll reserve my hatred here tho.
I managed to get lucky on Amazon after RSD. The 2 copies in Madison were sold at 8am and I missed it by only 2 hours. 2nd shifter so waking before 8:30 is a trick. I am listening to side 3 of the vinyl right now and it is wonderfully mastered. Bravo!!!! I am hearing things, mostly overtones and timbres on it I have never heard on the CD before. Plus, oddly enough, Shannon's vocals actually seem more ennunciated on the vinyl. How this is, is beyond me. But I can make out what he's singing lyrically better. This blows my hair back. Plus, all in all, it finally sounds REAL, live, connected now. As the CD never quite did. I cannot express enough how happy this re-release makes me. A true tangible from 21 years ago. I can't wipe the smirk off my face. It almost feels illegal to be enjoying this album so much again in it's new vinyl form. Thank you Brad, Christopher & Ron for doing this SO well.
Folks, please DO NOT pay more than $35 on ebay for this. Fuck the scalpers. They are not FANS and DO NOT deserve to profit from our fandom. Just be patient. Capitol will probably press more. Hopefully. I'd like to have a couple of em just for the sake of having them. But I sure ain't paying a dicknose 4X retail. May the scalpers die in a house fire. Guess I couldn't retain my hatred afterall. Sorry.

I think I've missed out. I can't see any copies of the vinyl or CD in the UK, although there are some massively overpriced copies of the LP on eBay.co.uk. They've been selling for £27 ($42) up to £60 ($93). It looks like I'll order the CD from the US.
