I know I may get crucified for this but...is it coming out on CD too?? Weirdly, I was playing BM this morning, listening to it skip all over the place thinking "I hope they release an anniversary remaster soon"

I got an audio technica player on amazon for around 70-80 a while back. Works pretty well. Was thinking of upgrading here in the not too distant future.
Anybody have any record player recommendations in the 150-200 price range?

This is great news but I am looking for a mint copy of the original. If anyone has it and willing to part with it, I am willing to pay top dollar for it. I bought an original pressing of Soup a few years ago and framed it. I would love to have "Blind Melon" next to it.

Over the past couple months I have seen at least two copies of the original pop up on ebay and go for around $200. Although I think they were in near mint rather than mint condition if I'm not mistaken.

Near Mint would be fine with me. I've seen a few Korean pressings pop up but I've been a little hesitant on pulling the trigger on those. I want the US version, although I have no clue if there is actually any difference. They very well could be exactly the same. I just feel more comfortable if it is here in the US. Soup seems to pop up on Ebay more regular than Blind Melon. A few years back I thought I had one and bought it. I got burned in that it was only the original vinyl not the original gatefold. I was really disappointed when I got it in the mail, the seller was very unclear about that. I should have paid more attention, my fault. I was checking Ebay weekly but have not done so in the past few years. I should probably start looking again. I kind of gave up on Ebay hoping I would stumble across one at a vinyl shop.

I'm not sure if you have a smartphone, but on my iphone i have the ebay app. It's pretty cool cuz you could have it alert you whenever someone posts something with your criteria. I get a notification every time someone posts "blind melon vinyl" or "blind melon lp". Makes it easier to keep up as opposed with just checking ebay all the time.
You might be able to set up something similar through email, not sure tho.

I asked Brad about when this was coming out & we then got sidetracked with our conversation & you know now that I think of it I cannot remember if he said a definate date! I think he said in the spring, but who knows.

Keep an eye out on estate sales..I got a record player with the whole set up in a nice case for $40 at an estate sale (it was the last day of the sale so it was marked down super low) |
