R.I.P. Adam Yauch (MCA)MCA was responsible for a huge part of the soundtrack of my youth. He will be greatly missed. Gone far too soon. . . This is video that I took at the Fillmore in 2008. . . en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Yauch

Good job Ryan. Came on to post the same news and was already started by you. Great rapper and musician. Saw the Beasties in the 80's with Run DMC and a slew of other rap groups all on one bill. RIP Adam aka MCA......^

I’ve always been a HUGE Beastie Boys fan. They’re one of my favourites. It never occurred to me for a second that MCA wouldn’t come out of this ok. I’ve been sad about it since Friday. Thanks for the major part you played shaping my musical taste over the years, RIP ♡

I don't know if anyone saw this years Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions on HBO, but check it out if you get a chance. The ceremony was shortly before MCA passed away and when Mike D and Ad Rock gave their acceptance speech they read a letter from MCA and they laid his award down on its side while the other two were standing. It was symbolic and emotional. At least he lived long enough to see it even if he couldn't be there in person. R.I.P. Adam Yauch.
