I know how incredibly cheesey this story is but it's mine and I wanted to share it with everyone anyways. The year was 1994 and I remember listening to Blind Melon like it was my last day on this planet. I've never thought of writing a letter to a band because of the cheese factor but I really didn't care. So I wrote a letter to the band, and in the letter I went on to describe how awesome and incredibly talented they all were. Now this is the part that I love to tell people......The first CD Blind Melon released there's an address where you could send fan mail C/O Blind Melon, then the address. When I wrote that letter I sent to "The Sleepyhouse" not Blind Melon. Now if you look on the inside sleeve of Soup, you will notice that fan mail can be sent to.......wait for it......."The Sleepyhouse". Cheesey, but mine and I thank you for reading it.

The only other story I can think of right now is this: The first time I had the priviledge to see Blind Melon was at Woodstock '94. Now that was awesome, and I swear to this day Shannon took a crap right there on the stage. Regardless of what he may or may not have done I was loving the fact that I was right there in front of them at what was probably their biggest venue ever. The only other time I had the priviledge to see Blind Melon was at a club just outside of Buffalo with the one and only Travis Warren, and this time I was honored enough to meet the boys, have a short conversation and get autographs.....and for that I thank you Travis, Chris, Rogers, Brad and Glen; you made my day!
