Hello to everyone. I just joined the board this evening as it is the first I have seen of the forum.
I look forward to good discussion about one of the most talented bands of all time. Their range in melodies makes them hard to stereotype into one musical genre IMHO.
Blind Melon's music was part blues, part rock, part soul and all else in between. Most importantly, it was music that stirred the soul like few bands have done before.
I have always felt the genius of Blind Melon was never discovered by so many because of misconceptions, largely in part due to the commercial success of No Rain. I feel sorry for those that never truly discovered the brilliance of the Blind Melon catalog.
The band's music got me through good times and bad.....one could pop in a disc and crank the volume, temporarily removing you from the worries of life.
sorry for taking up so much space. I am just glad to find a community of people that appreciate the genius that was Blind Melon. IMHO they are a once in a generation band.
Take care to all.
