today's 15th of november, it's been more than 2 weeks that this news is here!!! I'm tooooo late!!! i can't describe my feelings... thanks thanks thanks That's why I would sugest that the band get an official facebook page or maybe an email newsletter.  |

When the band makes annoncements, we do send out an eMail newsletter. |

 No worries, the forum facebook page has only been around for a week or so. Hopefully it will be a good way to ensure that melonheads get important info as quick as possible. |

Looking back over BM's 2008 tour dates. Wow.
In retrospect, they did a crazy amount of shows. You barely see a night off for majority of the year...
Above all, Im so glad it seems that reconciliation is possible amongst everyone.

Seriously the best news ever. Get the word out! I had no idea this had happened other than me thinking "Hmmm wonder if anything has been going on with the blind melon forum" I would love to see the band again. I think that a lot of people are in this situation. People have busy lives and often the information does not get to them. I think the new forum facebook page will help a lot. The only other thing I don't understand is why the band isn't in control of their own official website? Is that run by the record company? www.blindmelonmusic.com/ |

That website was started by Capitol mainly to promote the "Best of" album- Tones of Home. They haven't changed much (or anything) to it since it was created. The band doesn't have much to do with the content on that website.
Currently, the band's official websites are their myspace account and this Forum. I wouldn't say that the Forum Facebook page is their official facebook account per se, but we will try to use that as best we can to keep people updated about things in the melon world.

Ryan had made a thread a couple weeks ago announcing the creation of the forum facebook page, but I guess it got buried. I just made it an announcement so hopefully everyone will see it. A mass email to members about the FB page might be a good idea as well since many melons who are members here haven't logged in for awhile and may not have heard the news yet. I'll talk to staff about it. |
