I like to go to last.fm and check out bands that "sound like" bands I like...
So far, I've been pretty pleased...
---------------------
Because I like the band "Bush"..
(Institute)
Because I dig the new AIC album...
(Comes With the Fall)
Because Jeremy Enigk is pretty killer...
(The Fire Theft)
Because mixing STP with Filter was a great idea...
(Army of Anyone)
Because I loved the Toadies...
(Burden Brothers)
Because, I don't remember why.. I think I did a "similiar artist" search for Melon or Cornell.. Came up with these guys.. They were probably 200th on the list.. Dudes' got a cool voice..
(Alberta Cross)
I'll add more soon..
And PLEASE, share your new discoveries with us!!!

Thanks Matt for the excellent music! I'm now inspired to go and search for some more nifty tunes. Whatever happened to Army of Anyone? I thought they were such an underated "supergroup" that seemed to come and go. That happens to be one of my favorites on that album (which is fantastic and in the car right now). Ooh I like the voice of the singer from Alberta Cross. Thanks mister!

Matt (singer for Transfer) turned me onto a company called "Obscure Magpie" ... "Obscure Magpie Music is a collective of creative minds intent on the collaboration and production of music that is of the highest quality. By establishing a network of talented composers, musicians, producers and engineers, Obscure Magpie has crafted a team that has successfully woven itself into the fabric of a thriving musical community." store2.bandfarm.com/obscuremagpie/Anyway, I'm going through the list of bands, and found this one: I'm diggin' it. I'll be checking the rest of the bands out soon. You can listen to TONS of songs from each artist, at the Obscure site posted above.

Ive been listening to alot of Alberta Cross and Circa Survive. Bands are a little different than what I usually listen to but both singers sing in a higher register.
