Looks like it's a 2 man band.. I heard the songs, and it sounds like they are using a drum machine, again. www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/WarnWulf/322492375684?ref=ts ^--copy and paste the whole link I really hope he finds a full band soon...

I wish he wouldn't find a band soon. I think his best work is just him and his guitar.

I wish he wouldn't find a band soon. I think his best work is just him and his guitar. I would agree, if he wasn't posting songs that "sound" like a full band... We had a band in this town... Female singer, smokin' hot, great voice... another dude playing bass... Other than that, going to their "live shows" was pretty lame. The singer would push a button on her keyboard, the song would start, and she (and the bass player) would walk all over the stage, like they were putting on a concert... Yea, it sounded like a full band, but there were, literally, 2 people on stage. Singer was great. Bass player was great. Even the songs were great... But, the band was missing. It was like going to see karaoke, with a bass player... I know Travis' solo acoustic stuff is great, all by himself... I listen to it all the time. But, I highly doubt that he'll be touring, as a 1 man acoustic act, ever... Neil Young could do something like that. Eddie Vedder might be able to pull that off. And, then you have the people who actually CAN pull that off... Harper... Matthews.. He needs people. Even if those people are playing HIS songs.. He needs a band...

Agreed Matt. I love his solo stuff, but he needs a band. I can't believe it will be too hard for them though. Once they fill in the pieces the tunes they have up on FB are pretty solid. Plus all of Travis' Solo stuff could easily become full band songs. I am still waiting to hear Nervous Nelly with a full band. Damn that would have made a great Melon tune!

Any way to capture the songs and post them in this thread to hear? My work doesn't let us have facebook or myspace, and when I try to go to the page, it tells me to log in. Thanks!

The songs are for sale on the site... So, I don't think anyone should post them publically.

The link for purchase goes to the bizmo artist sign up, there is no explanation on how to buy the music. I am stoked to hear that Travis is performing again. Hopefully everyone can get over him not being Shannon and any issues he had with the band. He is a fantastic musician and songwriter.

I'm really starting to dig this stuff. I didn't give it much of a listen at first because it was not what I was hoping for from Travis. But once I sat down to give it chance I realized that it is pretty typical Travis. Lyrics are great and it has his "traditional background noises" [sorry, I don't know what instruments they might be or what he uses to get these effects]. Out of the 3 songs posted I probably like "A Promise for You" the best. I do hope that the album contains some stripped down acoustic based stuff though.
Matt, Why do you think Travis could not tour as a solo artist? I'm not sure that he can either, but I don't really think he needs to have a whole band behind him. I think he could do something like the "Live @ The Derby" show where he just had a few people adding some depth to the sound. All it would take is couple talented musicians willing play their role. But since Travis isn't a household name [yet] I doubt he would be able to find people to take a backseat role.

I don't think he could do a full blow, round the country, tour.. alone, and actually make money.
If he had a band, or like you said: "people adding some debth to the sound" then he may be able to do something.. Just my opinion.

Don't you think he'd make less money having to split it w/ a full band? The fans would still buy tix either way, full band or solo. Grant Lee Phillips does it all the time, Just saw Gene Ween last weekend. One man, one guitar, one helluvatime!!!!! #fufu#

Good point! I just think it's more enjoyable to catch a full band... When I think acoustic shows.. I think coffee shops, open mic-nights, and short sets from severel different artists. #fufu# . . . . . . . I wouldn't buy a ticket, for 15 bucks, to see "Just Dave" .
