I watched the video he made, recording his tracks for that Tommy Lee tune. Nice to see he's still workin'!

That's the most I have heard Travis talk.
I think of Travis as a bit reclusive and shy. Maybe he wants fame or to be noticed but doesn't know how to handle it when the spotlight is on him. That may have been an issue in Blind Melon. Not trying to rehash anything here. Just an opinion based off the video. He seemed excited in a kid way there.
The video where he is talking about the recording process, I would like to hear that song. Sounded killer. The other one was OK.

Thanks for posting the video! Travis does seem somewhat shy, but definitely has a lot of potential and I can't wait to see that utilized even more!

Two long years and Travis finally responded to one of my messages. Actually I had stopped sending them because he stopped responding. After he posted a new blog and I realized he still had a pulse I decided to try again, but I wasn't keeping my fingers crossed that he would respond. I would gladly pay for his music, but I think I pretty much have all of his solo stuff. There is some stuff that I would like to have and that would be the 2 live solo shows that he did at the Derby right at the time he joined BM. I know they were recorded because he sent me some CD's that had "Sam Stone" and "So Real" from one of those shows. I know we have all swapped his music, but I hope he is able to make some money because he deserves to be compensated for all that talent.

I just purchased the Live at the Derby Album but it didn't work for me. Not sure if I did something wrong or the internet caused the problem. I definitely will support him by buying the digital downloads. Though I would love to see a physical release someday! Hopefully I can figure out the problem!

Digital, digital, digital... Blah! I sure makes you feel like your getting less but that is not really the point. We are at the tail end of a generation that actually bought albums. It used to be something different. Now it is digital. It does give those without recording contracts a chance to still make money off their music. Some of the stuff I have of by Travis seems demo like to me. I hope that is not an insult. I mean I have some stuff that is really produced and polished (CSU) and some that seems like it was recorded at home (Cage). I am sure I am not too far off on that. Does that mean it is worth less? No, just an observation. If you enjoy it, pay up. Right? I think it's just that when you see it in physical form, you know that is (at least at that moment) the "finished" version of the song. But anyway, I will purchase from Travis as I stated I would. Gotta support the fellow artists in this world. Peace

As will I...
I just really was hoping for a physical release. You dont need a label to back production of a physical release.

Clicking on the Derby album he has for sale, you have to register. I would like to see the track listing before purchasing. Does that come up after registering?
