I was at the vigil09 , it changed my life forever in a positive way .I got lots of pics on facebook, look me up (amy harrison louisville ky) any melonsisters& brothers are welcomed ! I got love for my family & friends ,you know I need them

For me, the 2009 Vigil was very diappointing. I haven't been to the vigil in a few years but wow has it changed. I was disappointed that there were several people there very drunk, doing drugs and in general being very disrespectful. It was good to see Nel, Vernie, old friends and nice to meet some new friends but too much drama that was hard to ignore.

People please do not bring drugs to the Vigil. This is so disrespectful to Nel. She has asked that no drugs be brought to the Vigil. A friend of mine attended the Vigil and said people were in the back of the cemetary getting high. This is not a big cemetary and the back of the cemetary is only about 30 feet from Shannon's grave. Getting high in a cemetary where people are laid to rest in peace is retarded. Nel lost her son to drugs; why would bringing drugs to her son's Vigil be cool anyway.
