Went to visit shannon's grave for the first time a few days ago. It was a blistering hot day! Almost past up the cemetary cuz I wasn't expecting Dayton to be so small. There it was on the left side of the street. It is such a peaceful place. He is where he can be in peace. Spent some time reading to him all the good things everyone said about him from the back of the new book about Blind Melon. I wondered if he knew I was there and then the most amazing thing happened; out of nowhere the wind started blowing and one of the ornaments that was wrapped around a cross at the head of his grave fell off! There were other ornaments wrapped around the cross as well as this one. They stayed in place! I know it was Shannon letting me know he was there in spirit.

That is such an awsome story that you are sharing. It brought tears to my eyes. It is so amazing that Shannon has such a strong fan base and touched us all so much. He can never be replaced and will never be forgotten

One evening last summer, Nel, Tricia and I were visiting Shannon's grave. We lit candles and were pulling weeds. A flock of geese flew overhead and Nel said to quick, count them! There were 28, which was Shannon's age when he died. We felt like he was sending us a sign that he was there with us.

We MUST play the DRUM. He gave us BACK THE DRUM, its very important, allow him to move you, and he will show you. He is not gone, he is more HERE than WE ARE. He's standing in the bedroom trying to wake us all up. Shannon Hoon holds the key to the golden age, and you all know it inside, open up and realize where we are, where we're going, and where we've been, and you'll understand....The old systems of control are no longer needed here...

I completely believe that things like that happen. One of the songs we played at my little brother's service last month was The Sun is Shinnig by bob marley and on the way home it was just my hubby and I in the car and I was very upset, then all the sudden I saw a rainbow. I like to think that Jake sent it to me. So, yeah so totally agree man, that's awesome!
