I would like to know who would be on Shannons Ipod if they were around in the early 90's . Who did he grow up listening too and who did he like at the time of his death?

Here's a couple listed in Prato's book:
As a teenager some bands he listened to included -
Judas Priest Motley Crue Hank Williams Jnr Bon Jovi G'NR Meat Puppets Steppenwolf Neil Young Jane's Addiction Pink Floyd John Lennon Velvet Underground Alice Donut
I have an article from c.1993 where Shannon lists his six favourite albums (at this particular time; he says they change all the time):
Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers Syd Barrett - Opel Pink Floyd - Saucerful of Secrets Carole King - Tapestry Rolling Stones - Exile On Main Street John Lennon - Plastic Ono Band
Last album he bought: Ministry - Psalm 69 Favourite driving album: Tom Waits - Raindogs Album Most likely buy next: Alice Donut - The Untidy Suicide of your Degenerate Children Favourite non-metal/hard rock album: Chicken Wire Gang - The Chicken Wire Gang

I'm a big Velvet Underground fan myself and I remember the first time I heard "Candy Says" I thought he was a genious...He totally changed the colour of that song, I think that even Lou Reed would be proud! As for the book, JUST BUY IT! I loved every page of it!

I read an interview (from '92, I believe) in which he said he was a Metallica fan.
