5) Who is “Peanuts” and why is “Peanuts in a pile”? A: Peanuts was Vernie’s dog, and when Peanuts died, the dog was buried in the backyard. So that’s what the reference “Peanuts in a pile” means. Hey, i'm figuring that you'll keep those questions and answers up for anyone new coming to the board to see.... And i'd like to have you EDIT this one, so as not to give incorrect info to future melon fans. thanks. I was talking to Nel this weekend and the trivia stuff came up. I asked her about this. and though i knew Peanut was vernies dog... the part about peanut being buried in the back yard and that being the reason "peanut's in a pile" is incorrect. Peanut died in Approximately 2004-2005. And therefore couldnt have been buried in a pile in the back yard when the song was written. She wasnt sure what the part that "IN A PILE" meant. And vernie to this day has a large portrait of Elvis in her house. -- on a side note ---- though "elvis was singing galiantly" in the song.... Vernie used to have a dog named GALIANT at one point in time also. thanks

Oh yeah btw, thats not the only answer that is wrong on there, but hey does it really matter if people who come here get the wrong answers to questions and then in turn look like an idiot when they really think its the right answer? Not my problem...doesnt make me look bad, but more the forum.

Thanks for the info Matt, I deleted that question from the list since we don't know the real reason for "peanuts in a pile".

Not my problem...doesnt make me look bad, but more the forum. Being a member of the forum (like Matt), one would think that you'd like to help correct an error (which Matt did).... What else is wrong, in your opinion? Or, should we all just second quess all of them...

Not my problem...doesnt make me look bad, but more the forum. We have absolutely no problem correcting any mistakes. All the information for these questions were taken from the book, interviews, threads here on the forum, etc. So if you caught so many wrong statements, please by all means enlighten us on the correct answers and I will be more than glad to edit the first post. Thanks.
