I wanted to write a little note to everyone on the forum. It is the Holiday Season and this time of year is a time for Peace, Love, and Goodwill to all.
Recently so many changes have effected the Blind Melon fan community have had us all stressed out and really emotional. I think its time we put all the negative crap behind us and move forward into the new year together hopeful in what the future may hold for all of us. No matter how many different opinions we may have or how different we all can be there is one common bond that binds us all and it cannot be broken. We have all experienced the love for the music that Blind Melon has given us. Can we all embrace this common bond and move forward together as coolest fans out there? We are Melonheads.
We are hippies, jocks, Americans, women, men, Australians, ghosts, kids, dorks, Swedes, barefoot, corporate, rich, middleclass, poor, crazy, genius, talented, smelly, respected, Japanese, tall, obsessed, hilarious, short, hairy, bald, generous, kind, silly, happy, depressed, Chilean, adventurous, in love, burned.....and you get the point.
Lets start spreading the love again. Put this negative garbage behind us.
We can do this.
I'll leave you with my most favorite Holiday song...
I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play.
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of Peace on earth, good will to men.
I thought how as the day had come
The belfries of all Christendom
Had roll'd along th' unbroken song
Of Peace on earth, good will to men.
And in despair, I bow'd my head:
"There is no peace on earth," I said,
"For hate is strong and mocks the song,
Of Peace on earth, good will to men."
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep;
"God is not dead, nor doth He sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With Peace on earth, good will to men."
