I fully respect them too but it is still kinda a bummer for us poor broke folks who couldn't make it. But I hope all you guys have the best time. I know it will be very memorable! *jealousy takes over*

This just means that we're going to have to rely on all of you lucky melonheads to give us the scoop on the show. Take lots of mental notes, I expect a full report after the show, you lucky mofos!

I just got a message from Meredith saying that Colleen is there and she is taping the show so hopefully it will end up on the documentary. It looks like those of us who aren't lucky enough to be there may at least get to see some of it after all. ;D

wow!! thank you. Just in that little bit of footage I could tell how heavy the emotion was. It just looked like it was a beautiful show. I hope they make it a tradition every year at the vigil and I hope the band will do some kind of interview about the experience. I WILL BE THERE NEXT YEAR!!!!! #smilieIloveblindmelon#
Oh, i also wanted to ask if they had it professionally recorded maybe for later release? I got to thinking, maybe the reason they didnt want any recording was because they didnt want to take a chance on not capturing the show in the best way in order to keep it as respectful and special as possible. Also, maybe they didnt want to take a chance on people taking advantage of the vigil for their own gain...i know probably no one who really loves blind melon would do that, but as we know, every now and then theres a few jerks who come through.

It was not professionally recorded, nor was it recorded in it's entiety so I wouldn't look for it to be released. Colleen was there shooting some and hopefully the footage will end up on the documentary. Glen came up to me after the show and said he hoped that I understood why they didn't want it taped and we talked about it for a minute. A lot of family was there and Nell was also there to introduce the band. It was a very emotional show and taping it almost would have been a bit exploitive of all that emotion. I told Glen that everyone completely understood where they were coming from and that I had a feeling it would be a "non-taping" gig which is why I asked to begin with. He said that the band really appreciated that we asked first and that we all respected their wishes.
