I have heard this is done and it actually sounds nice in a weird/comforting way, I love to camp and have a roomy SUV...is anyone doing this or do you think others will? How about safety? Thanks!

I was going to ask about camping, too. We only get to stay Friday night, and I really didn't want to pay for a hotel room. What about tents? Are they okay?

Hey guys, there were quite a few people who brought their tents and set them up at the end of the cemetery last year. Rest assured that safety is not an issue, there will be melons there the whole time. Now my only concern is that last year the cops made Brandy and her family leave early because someone had thrashed the cemetery overnight (not her family) and that just makes sense in a cop's mind I guess. I don't think it'll be a problem but be prepared to leave if you have to. There's a campground nearby if you're interested, I don't know how close or nice it is because I've never been there but if you want their number, it's on the Vigil FAQ thread.

just in case someone came across this thread and didnt get a myspace bulletin.......
Is everyone excited for the VIGIL or WHAT?!
I wanted to add, as always folks, please remember the Sober Vigil Policy! There are to be No Alcohol or Drugs on the cemetary property! This means YOU! Don't be the one to shut this down.
Also, the Sherrif's Dept. is enforcing a new rule.. unfortunately, Vigilers are not to park on the grass but the gravel drive ONLY! Yes, cars may get blocked in so, please car pool, if possible.
Another new rule.. there can be no "tent camping" on the cemetary or the venue properties.
There are hotels and campgrounds very close to both the cemetary and shows. Also, people in the Dayton area are welcome to open their yards to parking and/or camping for a fee of their choice.
Finally, there are tickets for the September 26 show with Blind Melon available for purchase directly from the venue, Lucky's (formerly Riehle Bro's Beach Club), and will have tickets for purchase on Friday from Noon to 4pm at Nel Hoon's home in Lafayette.
email deadgirl333@yahoo.com for directions or questions.
Can't wait to see everyone.. bee sure to have a Safe trip!
Thanks for your support![/i][/color]
