I have 4 passes to an Exclusive performance by Blind Melon, this Thursday, September 18th @ 6:15pm. This Private & intement show will be aboard the Grand Inspiration Hornblower Yacht in San Diego. It will set sail @ 7:00pm & cruise the San Diego Harbor as Blind Melon serenades the sun set over the pacific oceans' horizon. There is no sale to the General Public & there is limited availability. These tickets are invaluable. Just to step aboard the Inspiration Boat, its $70. and that's without a performer. I am only selling them because I can no longer attend. Interested parties can purchase them for $50 a piece or $175 for all 4. Contact Spencer @ (619)550-7064. Thank You & have a blast!

I've been SCRAMBLING to get tickets!! I didn't hear about the show until just a few days ago, after some good groveling at the radio station promotions I was able to get a couple tickets and am SOOOO excited! It's been a long 15 (?) years since I've seen them last! And indeed what a show it should be, on a boat and all...hope to get some good pics I will post! ;D

lisab,
I hope you have a great time and let us know how it went! I am so jealous of anyone that makes this event!

If only my move to San Diego were sooner, I'd have been there and woulda snatched them up in a heartbeat.

oh my gosh, everyone, this was INCREDIBLE! All acoustic set, very intimate performance! My only wish that there were more melon fans, because the event was free, I felt there were quite a few people 'along for the ride', because it was a cruise around the san diego bay. i have many friends that would have loved to have gone, but it was so hard to come across these tickets, as I had heard about the event just a few days ago. I have been a fan for so many years, and saw them in san diego back in 95 just before Shannon passed away, met them then and the memories have stuck with me ever since. I didn't think I'd ever see them back again! But they were so good, played a ton of old favorites, started the show with Walk, my personal fave, and of course Change and No Rain. Also played Skinned, The Pusher, Mouthful of Cavities, Galaxie...For My Friends, Tumblin' Down...Sleepyhouse...and more! just a great lineup!! And they were so nice to hang around once we got the boat back to the dock and come out and chat with a few of us and take pics and what not...I can't imagine when my perma-smile will go away or when my 'cloud 9' feeling will end...it was just the most amazing night for me, i'm so glad i was able to get tickets at the last minute! I'll be forever grateful to Astra and Tammy at KPRI for helping me out! I'll see if I can get some pics on here, I have just a couple videos too, but my camera is pretty crappy so nothing really turned out too fantastic, thats my friend with Glenn, the one with me and him didn't turn out very well, but this one was nice, if you check kprifm.com maybe in a couple more days there should be some good pro-style ones on there that include Travis (soooo ;D good!) and everyone from the front view and I saw a couple clips on youtube already too (blind melon + san diego)...anyways, thanks for listening, its nice to ramble on to other melon fans! lisa

i'll see if these videos work...i'm new on this board...and no, there wasnt any way to get to the front view, or any kind of better side view without losing my killer close spot on the side...because it was on a boat it was a funky set up with all sorts of boat-type machines (generators maybe?) sticking out around the edge of where the 'stage' was set up. But our spot was great because Chris was right there (and his dad, helping out with the guitars) chatting with us... hmm...no, don't think its going to work! oh well =p
