I expect that I shall too! I'm looking forward to 'Change' more than anything... Change is still the most powerful song for me at the shows! along with Sleepyhouse and Time. I had tears in my eyes during the whole song in Spain... I hope they play Sleepyhouse tonight! they didnt play it in Spain. On my way to meet Lee now! ;D He's gonna play the tourist with me lol, gonna check out Buckingham Palace and Big Ben, then going to the pre-party. See you all there!!! ;D Can't wait to see the guys play again!

Been to the astoria many times, saw alice in chains, pearl jam, chris cornell all there. Great place is a place called the Royal George, if you look at the astoria (opposite side of the road) cross the road and go left on the right there will be a pub down the end of the road, cool little place.
Wish i was on here more but pc broke for almost 2 months.
What i want to know is, is there support? what time will the show finish?

No idea about support, been trying to find out myself. Guess it will be a surprise. Would expect it to finish around normal gig time, 10:30 -11.
Leaving for the Pyke in an hour to start my pre lash. Woooo!!
Man I had some crazy melon dreams last night

It's not at the Astoria, is it? It's at what is now called 'Astoria 2' and used to be known as 'The Mean Fiddler', I think.
I wish it was at the Astoria as it's one of the best venues around, but I don't think it is...

Just thought it would be easier to give direction from astoria as its most likely bigger ha good avocado work I went to usa in june to see them play 5 shows on their east coast tour.

Great to hear! I'm looking forward to stories. And I love the time difference. Us Westerners get to hear about the show in the evening!!

Finally I can say I have seen Blind Melon live...!!!
The venue itself was cool, small enough to get the warm fuzzy feeling from the band, and big enough to get an atmosphere. Everyone was pretty chilled apart from a few drunk dicks who thought they were at a Slayer gig or something, but these days you have to expect these people. Nice to see so many cultures turn up too!
Melon were actually beyond any expectation I had, the chemistry was actually pretty unreal, and Travis honestly is the perfect natural fit for Shannon. A very special night that I won't forget.
A happy Melon!

That was an amazing day and night ;D Incredible, yes! It was great to see Barb, and everyone else too. And also walking around London with Barb, looking at some of the tourist attractions. We were also able to see the soundcheck too. I'll explain more later, unless Barb has already done so. Finally I can say I have seen Blind Melon live...!!! A happy Melon! Yeah, I completely with agree with you Barb and I were at the front, and we were crushed quite a bit sometimes. Barb said that there was more pushing, and more people crowd surfing, than there had been at the shows she saw in the US. Some people seemed a bit too drunk, but yeah, you can't really expect that not to happen.

It was pretty cool. Thought there were a lot of dickheads in the crowd which soured a few moments, but all-in-all it was a good show. Travis Warren is a good replacement, but it'll never be the same without Shannon Hoon. Not a lot that can be done about that though, obviously. I was disappointed, but unsurprised, that 'Tones of Home' was left out. I love that song and am still yet to hear it live A good night though in a good little venue.
