Hello all: Like all of you, I am very interested in attending the vigil this year. I went to Lafayette in May to visit Shannon for the first time and after getting a taste of the town and the people there who love Blind Melon, I am really excited to check out the vigil. However, as a poor college student, whether I fly or drive to Indiana from New York, I will not have sufficient funds for a hotel. Is there anybody with the same problem, people looking for somebody to share hotel fare, or anyone who has the inside scoop on alternative, thrifty lodging for that weekend? Let me know, friends  Adam |

I live in lafayette not far from shannon I have no problem letting fellow melon heads bunk at my house.  |

Hey Adam, I'm gonna share a room with other melons so it doesn't only depend on me but as far as I'm concerned, you're welcome to stay with us. In any case, from what I hear, no melon stays without a roof above their heads at the vigil! Everyone takes care of each other like a family, so I'm sure you'll find a place to stay!

Adam.. Just get your ass to Lafayette and it will work itself out.. How would we feel if a Melonhead missed out on Vigil because he/she can't afford to pay for a room. |

Definitely! I'm one of the people sharing a hotel with Barbara and as far as I'm concerned, you're more than welcome to join us. I also know there's a campground near the cemetary but I've never been and don't know how much it costs. I've also just crashed at Shannon's (even though I had a hotel room) and last year all the hotels were booked but we met 2 amazing melonheads that let us crash at their house all weekend. You'll definitely not be left without a roof over your head See ya in (less than) 3 months!!! |
