I think the Nova show is on the 4 MAR 08 and I am going to miss it because my ship is getting underway but I bought tickets for my wife, her mother, and a friend. Jordan

No, honey, this show is @ the Norva (not Nova) and I got my tickets which say Friday, February 1st @ 7:00 PM- yours must either be a different show or a second date was added for March 4th@ the Norva, which is entirely possible since the tickets are selling like hotcakes- many shows are sold out already(yeah!!) Sorry you can't make the March 4th show but you have more important things to do but I know your family will have a blast!

Msmegs, their site list 2/1/08 as "Battle to open for Blind Melon" . The Blind Melon show is 3/4/08. www.thenorva.com/Tickemaster lists it as well. Sorry!

Thanks guys! I'm getting the right tickets for the March 4th show as we speak.Beware that when you type in "Blind Melon" in Ticketmaster, this is what pops up, and I thought that was just the title of the show promoters. I am soooo grateful to you guys for pointing this out to me. Yet another reason this site is so friggin fantastic! P.S. If anyone lives near Norfolk and is interested in a free ticket to "Battle for Blind Melon" (how Ticketmaster has it listed) which I now gather is some sort of contest for openers? Is that right? Well, my mistake gets someone a free ticket- PM me if you want it.

Hello everybody, Just a quick lil update as the 7 of us are preparing to check out & venture out to Virginia Beach, then onto Richmond. Last nights show held about 1/3 capacity crowd. For the number of people there, I felt like the energy was decent. I'm not sure if anything can compare to the 9:30 club in DC. All the songs were the same as the previous night in Washington, with just a few subtle changes to the order. Down On the Pharmacy and Time where the encore master pieces. Guys, Down on the PHarmacy is an ANTHEM song! Whhoot A Few observations I made were the tightness of the band between songs! It keeps the energy up soo well when the band can turn around from one song and jump right into the next. Also, if you have downloaded Tapernates 9:30 show, u'll notice how Ripped Away & Wishing Well are getting nice and Melonized (jammy) It's great. CT said that WIshing Well just happened that way At the 9:30 club, they also jammed out on it last nite too. After the show we had an incredible amount of time w/ the guys. WE all kinda waited awhile til most of the thick thinned out. I think it was Meredith that asked Rogers if we could expect a few changes on the setlist for tonite, where it is her last show of this leg . ROgers said that the band has been thinking about that. But that it is such a balancing act as far as trying to keep a good "flow" of songs that will not give them an unwanted amount of down time between songs from CT having to switch from so many instruments. Here's hoping. Tapenate will not be there tonite, so I will see if I can get my recorder in. Be well everyone

Sorry to hear 1/3 capacity. Norfolk is my old stomping grounds. looks like Norva has taken over for THE BOATHOUSE as the place for acts.
I have alot of friends going to RIchmond tonite so hopefully a packed house!

Thanks for recording these guys. Will the band let you tap into the soundboard, or are all of these going to be AUD recordings?
The 930 show sounds great. Thanks again.

The online videos and whatnot are cool but, I could not believe how good they sounded live & how much the new tunes blended right in with the vibe. I was seriously blown away. Blind Melon is the real deal.

I felt this show was very fun and intimate. I had an amazing time and the energy was still fantastic, even with the small turnout. I have some excellent photos that I plan on posting soon.

BTW I gave Travis a forum card in DC and noticed it was displayed in his pocket for the entire Norva show, how cool is that?
