Yeah, the problem is that prices vary A LOT in Europe and Scandinavian countries are definitely among the most expensive ones. Slovenia is probably somewhere in the middle or among the cheaper ones. Alcohol is much cheaper in The States, that was the best part of my trip ;D.. There's really cheap places in NYC too,you just have to find them What about an adress or a few directions? Aren't Wall Marts always outside of town?

Alcohol is much cheaper in The States, that was the best part of my trip ;D.. Yeah...come to think of it I believe I forgot about the exchange rate...i.e. dollar vs Euro...therefore you probabily will find it cheaper! Beer is cheaper in the States than in Canada to buy in the store, however I found the Bar prices to be about the same.

I honestly don't think we'll be in NYC long enough to explore very much. We'll probably be stuck drinking at the bar where the show is happening or another bar in the immediate vicinity.

There's alot of cool bars, record stores etc. You can really spend alot of time just walking around going from store to store or from bar to bar. Little Italy and Chinatown are worth a visit too. I just went to the Wall Mart in Lafayette,I don't where you can find them.. If you do come across one, stop by and fill your bags!

Thanks Joel, Greenwich Village and Soho sounds good. It's very possible that I'll fly to NY on february 27th and since the first BM show is only next day, I thought why not rather stop in NYC than going to NJ right away, NYC is more tempting to visit I know that a one day visit of NYC is kinda ridicolous (knowing how much there is to see) but still better than nothing.

That's a good idea if you have the time to add an extra day. You can see a lot in one day and it's definitely better than nothing.

Lee, don't worry, at least you can be SURE that they'll come right to your town when they come to Europe! Every band comes to London when they come to Europe!!! That's sure not the case for Slovenia, heh. It's so small they probably don't even see it when they're checking the map and making plans Yeah, you're right there! Although having said that, I was talking more about visiting the US than seeing Blind Melon... I've wanted to visit the US for a long time, haha Unfortunately my Politics class didn't run a trip this year to go to Washington... what a bummer, haha! They had done the previous years, but of course I wasn't in the right school year to go on it! Anyhoons, I hope you have a great time when you leave ;D Savor every moment!

Couldn't hurt to have a case of booze, or a pint of something to start on at your Hotels. That's what Scott and I did in Maine....then use the club to top yerself off (er even sneak a couple coldies in.....Guilty )

I have done that a few times.. You start thinking weird thoughts. Last time I drank by myself was a few months ago. Allthough I think we had a conference that night. I started with a couple of beers but ran out quite fast so I had to start drinking vodka. Bad mistake! In the middle of the night I woke up on the floor next to the computer with my leg hanging on the chair.
