In addition to the "weiner girl" I think every woman here (and possibly some of the fellows too) would love to see that picture.

Was it a typo or a Freudian slip? Even the straight guys can't resist Travis.

This will be short and sweet. I got home 3hours ago, I feel like crap! The after party WAS AMAZING. Show was great! I am pretty sure I have some pics. I think when they played time it lasted 12 minutes. Travis got CT guitar and CT was doing the slide and all kind of stuff. I will post some more stuff later. Also I think they played Deserted but it was not on the list.

After party? Details please...
;D
It sounds like Time was mindblowing! The longer they play that song, the better (in my opinion). Deserted is another great one to extend during a live show.
Sounds like an amazing night! Thanks for posting the setlist!

I got alot of pics and stories. But what I think was one of the coolist things is this second pic. So you can get a better idea of what Rogers dad looks like I have posted the first pic. In the second pic, see if you can find Rogers dad! LOL Mr. Stevens is one of the coolest guys you would ever meet. A true southern lawyer gentleman. He likes to party! LOL Know he had his on section of the bar for friends and family, but he had to out in the pit and support his boys! (Rogers little was opening band)

The show was great. me, my brother, and one of my good friends got there a few hours early, having skipped school to make the 5 hour drive.
One of the first people we met was a lady who introduced herself as Colleen and sang backup on Mouthful. She went around filming for the documentary and was really nice and friendly. She asked me for a lighter, which I happily supplied lol. Then about an hour before the show I met Brad and the I remember being so shocked and at one point saying "Our Mississippi table has started rejoicin," which he thought was funny because it was the first thing I said to him. Anyway he was very easy to talk to and a really nice guy. When I asked him if he had written the lyrics to "What You Lost," which I had long suspected him of doing, the first thing he said was "Haha yeah man, that song sucks!" He then explained how he was in a "Guns N' Roses phase at the time and we were testing what we could do." He then even graciously gave me some tips of songwriting which were very helpful. He seemed very surprised that I was sixteen and introduced me to the other bandmembers as "the twin (because my twin brother was with me), who drove 5 hours to see us. He's sixteen!" I just thought he was a great guy and on the way out he told me to drive safe and he even remembered my name.
Roger's brother's band, Moonlight Towers, opened for them and they were really good, some stuff even reminded me of the Abandon Jalopy record. Roger's brother's name is James and looks just like him with a beard.
Then Blind Melon finally came on 2 hours late but they rocked the hell outta that place. I see someone already posted the set list so you know they opened with Galaxie. The whole set was just amazing and I was right in the front left by Chris T. It was just as good as you could expect it to be and better. My only complaint is there seemed to be a lot of "jaded" people there, and drunk rednecks which almost ruined it. Disregarding the crowd though, it was amazing.
Some highlight were the 13 minute Time jam and Travis crowdsurfing during Paper Scratcher. I was really excited to hear Sleepyhouse too. At one point during the Time jam, Chris started using the Ebow on his lap steel which made some insane sound effects. Coupled with the lighting, the effect was almost trippy lol. During the middle of the jame I looked at Chris and he went over to his amp, got a pick and just handed it to me, which blew my mind.
One more note, I was really surprised to see Chris playing acoustic guitar on Skinned, as opposed to banjo. Also, Travis's vocals were amazing, and my friend and I both suspect he may have even a wider range then Shannon. At the end of the show I caught Glenn's stick and got it signed by everyone.
After the show I met all the members and got autograhs, but the only one's I talked to at length were Brad and Chris. I just walked up to him and thanked him for the pick and said that I was very happy to realize Drive was in open E, because I had been trying to learn it in standard tuning, impossibly of course. We then talked about guitar for awhile and he asked about the band my friend and I are in and he complimented "You guy's look like a band" Lol! I remember talking to him about his funk influences for awhile and he came across as a really friendly and all-around chill guy.
I'm still at the hotel right now and have gotten two hours of sleep so I realize this is probably a bit hard to follow being that it is hastily written, but if I think of anything else or anyone has any questions I will try to answer them as best I can. This was an amazing closout to a great tour. I can't wait for more.

It's like a Where's Waldo....but not as hard. I think that's great that Rogers' dad would brave all the hardcore dancers to see his boys. And thanks for your review of the show blindmelon1091. Travis was crowdsurfing huh? I haven't seen that yet.
