I can only imagine that this is a first for Blind Melon, but even possibly a first for the world of music!

Welcome to the Forum MrMelon31, glad you found us. I was actually thinking on my drive today that I should have told you to check out the All That I Need section of this board, you'll find a ton of rare stuff that you might not have. Hopefully you've already found your way there! Glad you liked the video, it really is a labor of love... #hoonsmiley#

I can only imagine that this is a first for Blind Melon, but even possibly a first for the world of music! back in the peanutsinapile days we had a song that featured kazoo, I can bring a few and we can throw them at the stage

Personal highlight of the night for me was at the very end of the show Travis is saying goodnight and thank you to everyone and is slapping hands with people in the front row. I stick out my hand and he sees me as he slaps my hand and says "Hey dude, nice video by the way." I admit I geeked out about that for a few minutes. In fact, many of the guys in the band approached me after the show to tell me that they really liked the video (CT told me it made his wife cry!) and Glen told me to keep em coming. No problemo! Keith that is wonderful! It's so cool that the band watched it and dug it. You did a great job on that video and it must be incredibly gratifying for the band to recognize your efforts. I know if it were me I would have had ear to ear permagrin on my face. ;D

some great pics.In one of those pics travis is wearing my NJ devils hat which for some odd reason I tossed on stage.I actually got it back at the end of the night.Funny story about hats when I met shannon back in the day I asked shannon where he got that hat that he always wore because I liked the hat well he let me wear and told me he got it from a homeless man in new orleans.Guess shannon kicked him down some money and the guy was like take the hat.So the circle is complete in some weird way I wear shannons hat travis wears mine.I know a little over anaylized. But eh wahtever works.

Awesome show!!!!! I had the best time, and recognized lots of faces from the Canal Room show!!! I saw the dude that got tossed out, pretty funny. I had an amazing time, a buddy of mine decided to make brownies and we ate a few before the show and I was trippin the whole time well into the next morning!!! So my memories were mostly fuzzy, but I do remember singing at the top of my lungs, dancing, and meeting the band out back after the show for about a second. What a great show...the only negative was the sound wasn't very good. There was lots of feedback on the vocals and the christopher's guitar was way too low for the first few songs. But awesome show!!!!

glad to hear everyone had such a blast - not a surprise though. I was shut out of this one. I should have gone to try and get in, but I had so much going on I couldn't make it *I was on such a high after the Canal Room show that I just have this bad itch to go see them again. With all my work obligations it is just impossible for me to tour so need the local shows .... Blend people are trying to get them back soon.. hopefully they will if anyone taped any of the show get it online soon glad everyone had a blast

Thanks for all the reviews and pics, everybody! Though the show was a week ago, I thought I'd still pop in and say some stuff. I had seen the first two nights of the first leg (Providence and Burlington), and while those shows were unforgettable, I couldn't wait to see Melon with six week-old road legs under 'em. Without a doubt, they've upped their game a thousandfold from those first couple of shows, and are playing with a confidence and fire that can barely fit into these few-hundred-capacity clubs. 'Last Laugh' really jumped out at me, 'cause while I love the studio version(s) that have been online, it's a song that's just heartstopping in the live setting. And 'Deserted' was blistering. First time I got to see 'Skinned,' too!
To be honest, when I first heard about Travis doing 'That's the Way,' a Zep cover, in the set, I kinda wondered why they wouldn't use that slot for either a new or old Melon song. About halfway through the song, my doubts were erased...Travis sounds so natural doing that tune, and it sounds fucking fantastic.
And of course, it was great getting to meet and hang a bit with some forum people including grumpin, Keith, dojoklo, and a bunch of others whose names unfortunately escape me a week later. phishymelon, no way you ruined my night, I barely noticed ya at the time! Hope to see all of you again soon, maybe we'll have a new album to talk about when Melon comes back to the east coast next year!
