How does this tour keep getting more and more unbelievable with each show? This is amazing beyond belief. Great shot Keith. It's been hard not to wonder over the years about Nico, it was great to finally see her smiling face and all the love she was getting from everyone.
I'm kind of saddened for Nel that she doesn't see her often. Do her and her mother not live in Indiana?

Nel Hoon is great! (I know I'm stating the obvious). But it's so good to know that she completely approves of the reunion. It makes me feel really happy. I know she wrote that she approved, but turning up at the show to tell the audience is just heart warming. It's nice that Nel, Nico and Lisa have joined the band on this occasion ;D That split (if split it the right word to use) between Shannon's family and the band that I guess we all felt, has disappeared. #grouphug#

What an awesome show! I had high expectations going in, but the show honestly went above and beyond. It may have been the best show I've ever been to, and I'm not just saying that because Blind Melon is my favorite band. The show was totally unbelievable. There was just something in the air that night, and everyone there felt it. I bought a ticket for my friend so he could come with, and even though he's not the biggest Blind Melon fan in the world, he said the show was "f*cking awesome". The night was off to a good start. When we got there to wait in line while they opened the doors, Nel was there talking with everyone and I asked her if she would take a picture with me. She said "Sure! Boy aren't I the popular one tonight?" She seemed very nice. I can't tell you a setlist off the top of my head, but it was very similar to the ones they already played. I remember Travis saying something about making it up as they went along, though. I was a little further back than I wanted to be, but Rogers and Brad both pointed at me during the set on two separate occasions which I thought was pretty cool. Travis said something about Chicago being the best crowd they've played for yet, and I wouldn't doubt it. The energy level was awesome. Everyone at the show was really cool, too. It was as if everybody were good friends with each other. It was really fun to sing along with everyone around me. Especially on "The Pusher", which was one of the best songs of the night. Another thing that was worth noting is that there were no emo kids at the show, which was a huge sigh of relief because every concert you go to these days is usually swarming with them, regardless of what band you're seeing. This goes without saying, but the biggest highlight of the night was by far Nico Blue coming on stage to sing "Change". I couldn't believe my eyes when she came on. I never heard much about her, let alone seen pictures of her (besides the one on Behind The Music). I always assumed that she was trying to distance herself from the past, but it was so cool to see her singing. It was totally appropriate that she sang "Change" and later on, "No Rain". You can tell she was a little nervous, but the crowd helped her out by singing at the top of their lungs. Nel came out and had some very nice words to say about Travis, and the two of them hugged. I tried to get a picture of that but my disposable camera didn't charge the flash in time. I didn't get a chance to meet any of the band members which was a bummer, but meeting Nel was awesome and seeing Nico made up for it. My only regret for the night was waiting until the show was over to buy a shirt. All they had left was youth large... So now I'm walking around with a sweet-ass Blind Melon shirt cutting off the circulation to my chest. While we were waiting for the train after we left, I looked over the top railing and saw someone pull up in a sweet looking Galaxie. I took a picture of it but for some reason the picture doesn't exist. That always seems to happen with disposable cameras. Here are some of the pictures I managed to take. I apologize for the bad quality of some... It was a combination of a crappy camera and me being a bad photographer. There are some cool shots of Nico, though. If you want to view the entire album, go here --> harpercollege.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2027217&l=8d407&id=196601865And feel free to add me as a friend on facebook if you want. This is me and my buddy with Nel. I'm the one wearing the Bears hoodie on the left. Is that our friend Keith on the right hand side? Nico! Isn't she a cutie? She looks like a little Shannon! This is Nel talking about what a great job Travis is doing carrying on Blind Melon. Nico singing "No Rain". Sorry about the horrible picture, but it was the only one I managed to take... There are a few more at the link I provided above, but those are my favorites. Especially the Nel one, I'm framing it! Everyone that is going to the next few shows - you're gonna have a blast, I promise!

Good Melon morning, Here is the whole show quick and dirty. I didn't have time to split up the file or tweak it at all. The volume is a little low so just turn up your speakers. www.megaupload.com/?d=RRW06EZ9Time for sleep... thank you so so much!

I beleive that is exactly what she says. Nice job catching that. It really is just so touching, for lack of words again, also.
