Hey all, I was planning on trying to tape in Chicago tomorrow (Tuesday). I havent seen any audio sources floating around yet, but was wondering if anyone could tell me if the band has been letting the venues know that taping was ok? Double Door is cool with taping, but if they know nothing the guy at the door is a not cool at all.. I saw a couple posts from "Vidcrew" staing he can help. I sent a PM and havent heard back yet, so if your reading this Vidcrew, lemme know. I am so stoked about the show now that its a day away.. Anyone else from here going to Chicago, if so find me and say "Hi"! I'll be the guy with the microphones (hopefully).... MarkE

Hi,
I was at the show at the Grog Shop in Cleve. and I asked the doorman about audio recording the show and he asked the Blind Melon people and they said audio taping and still pictures were allowed but no video recording. I believe the band is video recording their shows. However it didn't stop a lot of people using their cell phones to record. Also I saw their sound man patch in a little recorder at the Grog to the soundboard.
I hope you get a good recording, what is your setup? I plan on recording the show in Toledo.

Very cool Wiz, thanks for the info... We're getting down there real early to make sure the path has been cleared for audio.. This is gonna rock...
My setup: AKG 414xls > Edirol UA-5 (T-mod) > Optical > Iriver H120. Ive ran this at Double Door before with pretty decent results..
Whatcha runnin?
