I will be attending the show on the 14th, I live in Canada and at first I wasn't sure if I was going to make any US gigs . I read reviews , look at pics and watched footage of the first 2 shows and knew I had to attend. I came home from work and told my girlfriend we had to go I actually said "This thing is bigger than both of us". I was browisng for any mention of the band in Ohio news papers when I came across an article in the Toledo Free Press. toledofreepress.com/?id=6517 This quote from Brad confirmed what I already knew. "This first set of shows is for the people that never got to see us live," Smith said, adding he expects the band will go on as long as audiences are listening. "People know in their hearts if they should be in the room or not and they'll show up." Cheers To My Brothers and Sisters of the Melon! more to come... Larry Ward edited to fix the link

Does anyone out there happen to have the setlist? Rogers posted earlier today that they went into the show without a setlist, and I'm curious to see how it played out...thanks in advance!

larryward, do you have any more pics from the show that we could add to the Bowling Green archive? I added the two you already posted and I'll update the Pics/Videos thread with what I have so far. Just post any more if you have them and want to share them with us. Thanks!

I have to say that this was the show of all shows for me.
I got to meet Travis before the show outside of the bus, he was very cool. I told him how much I love the new stuff and that I can't wait to hear them play. He told me they can't wait just as much to play for us.
The club had $2 24 oz cans of Coors Light, not my preference of beer but there's an awful lot I will drink for basically dollar beers.
The show was unbelievable. They sounded so great and I was 2nd row in front of Brad and Christopher. They nodded in approval to me several times of my jamming to their music. It was great getting a reaction out of them but it wasn't going to compare to what happened later.
During Time when the music slows and just before "are you fed up with me" Travis looked down to my sister, who was jamming with me all night also, and motioned to her like "You got this part, right?" and wanted her to sing the next part. I knew she probably wouldn't do it. Travis could soon tell too and motioned to me like "what about you", then he extended the mic to me and the next thing I know I'm on stage with the band fumbling through "Five fed up faces with the itch to kill a king, blood red sunrise and a breath to air that's clean". Then I hit my comfort zone and screamed the next two lines which no melon would ever choke on. I handed the mic back to Travis so he could finish the song, climbed down from the stage and basically floated through the rest of the set in a daze from not believing what had just happened.
So many people came up to me afterward telling me how great it was but I honestly think they were just being your typical nice melon heads. I don't think it could have sounded that great. What did you think Larry? By any chance did you get a picture of that.
After the show I got to say hey to Glen real quick and got to talk to Brad for a few. He clarified the lyrics for me and told me I looked a little nervous up there. No shit I was nervous.
Unfortunately I did not take any pictures but I think I will be able to video some of the Toledo show for everyone.
Over and over this band shows why they are our favorite. An absolute great bunch of guys that just so happen to make the most amazing music.

hoondogdetroit, your story of the evening is fantastic. How cool is that that you got pulled up onstage to sing some lines from 'Time'!?!?! Excellent review my melon friend!
