Hey Keith..were you near the guy who passed out during the show?..that was bizarre..He got up after a minute and gave the thumbs up..They gave him some water and Rogers asked him after the song if everything was cool..

Will post more thoughts about the show last night but thought others might want to see some songs from the band. What's the best way to upload the video? On youtube or somewhere else. Never uploaded anyting before but thought it's something worth sharing. Shot with a digital camera. I believe in mpeg.
The night was awesome. Eveyone got to meet the band after the show. They stayed and spoke with everyone. Got to take pictures with the band as well and if you have read a previous post I had made called, "What do you think?" post created by Starr, I write this only because there is another post with the same title posted by someone else. I am completely thrilled with Travis. A genuine person who as he said a few nights before wishes Shannon was here so that he could be in the crowd listening as well. A classy guy

My only negative of the other amazing evening was that I took no pleasure whatsoever in either The Restless or Dusty Rhodes and the whatever they were called..Wish I had a book or Ipod with me to pass the time but that may have looked pretty bad since I was in the front row and was face to face with them their whole set..

Darren YES! that was REALLY bizarre. I thought he was dead! and you are right he popped right back up and started singing along to Sleepyhouse. that was nuts. I even talked to Rogers about it afterwards. Also...don't hate on Dusty Rhodes and the River Band. Those guys are great!

Yeah, I thought the openers were good. I thought the first one sounded like Strokes wannabes, but he has a great voice and they are talented. And Dusty Rhodes was a hell of a lot of fun. Kacie kept laughing at how the singer looked like a sheepdog!

Dusty Rhodes was amazing man. I met the lead singer after the show, cool as hell. Then again, I don't go to shows with a closed mind. Especially not Melon, that's not what it about.

it's official, I just got tickets for the Pittsburgh show!! I am so excited to see this band for myself. It will be bittersweet, but from the responses that have been on here thus far, it will be an amazing evening. I am bringing a friend along, and she is gonna be a converted melonhead after the show. Cannot wait to see everyone there, and put a face with the weird names we have on here. Anyway, I must be going. thanks to everyone who posted thus far and I can't wait to post my own review of the show at the Diesel. Peace

So Chris said that the setlists are all going to be the same for this tour?
Also, does anyone know if the band minds flash photography being taken while they play? I'm buying a disposable camera and wanna get some shots of the band playing, and also hopefully get my picture taken with them if they're down before/after the show. But I know some bands don't like getting flash in their eyes while they play, so I don't wanna be "that guy".

Sometimes, you have moments when you are utterly at loss to express the feeling in words, that is how I felt about the show on Monday Oct 8th. The energy of the band was great, it was so apparent how truly happy they were to be doing this. the energy of the crowd was exuberantly ecstatic. I went through every emotion imaginable, from bittersweet to ecstasy, mouthful of cavities moved me to a cleansing flow of tears. After the show I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Chris and Travis...how refreshing and absolutely perfect they were. I live in Houston, and about 3 weeks or so before I left on a trip to Burlington, VT for a wedding, I saw the post on myspace about the tour dates. They were going to be playing in Burlington the night before I left to come back home! How meant to be was that? I had never seen them, and truly thought that I never would. This is a dream come true for me. Chris said they were hoping to play in Houston at some point and I CAN"T WAIT!!! I'm so ready to quit my job and travel now, kids, husband and all! I can dream can't I?
