So, does anybody want to take a guess at what will be the first song played by Blind Melon when they take the stage in Providence for their first show of the tour?

I'm a firm believer that Glitch would be intense and create a seriously groovy and other-worldly mood in a small venue.

Glitch would be an amazing opener... That would be an unexpected surprise.
I'm thinkin' Harmful or Make a Difference...

Galaxie is a perfect opener. I'd like to see a little intro into it though, and not necessarily Hello, Goodbye. Some out of time bit from one of the new songs (assuming there is one) leading into Galaxie would be my preference.

Likely a new song "makes a difference" would be nice
Tones would be interesting, since were all goin back "home" again
PErsonally I'd like "dead old dad" or a difference

I agree that Glitch would be a Mind- Blowing opener but...I hope that they group most of the Classic Blind melon together,ya know a set of the Classic Stuff as a tribute to Shannon. So far from what we've all heard from the new stuff,I also agree Make a Difference would definately be the best song for a Great opener.Just my Humble Opinion about things.

Glitch would be an amazing opener... That would be an unexpected surprise. I'm all about unexpected surprises. I hate the predictable... Both would be incredible, especially Make a Difference. Glen's drumming is intense in that song. I can see the crowd transforming into a group of tribal banshees during that song.

I would love for it to be a new song. Harmful Belly would be awesome. If not, 2x4 was always an awesome opener.

My gut says 2x4 but i think it'll be a new song. if it was up to me though, i'd start with tones of home. thats the song that hooked me back in 92'.

At this point if I'm making a prediction , I'm leaning towards a new song being the opener. 'Make a Difference' seems the obvious choice of the new tunes 'cause it's so relentless from the opening notes. Then again, they might have another new song up their sleeves that we haven't heard yet.
If they do end up doing an older song, I'm also thinking that Tones of Home would be the natural choice.

listening to Brad's interview can see where they may want to open with a new song. Make a Difference would be a great choice and then go right into Tones of Home to sort of bridge things. whatever song they choose, it's going to be great

I like fast songs as openers so I wouldn't like to hear Glitch as an opener. I mean...I'd still rather hear it as an opener than not hear it all! I want to hear this song live!!!!! but it would suit me better as the last song or towards the end. Anything fast and powerful for the start would be perfect.
