This is great! I live in Columbus, Ohio and can't wait until Tix go on sale. The basement is very small, very intimate. It's part of a bigger complex of indoor and outdoor concert venues. I will be going to see the Killers next door to the Basement at the LC Pavillion next week, the same day Melon tix go on sale. I actually thought that Melon would book bigger venues to start with such as the LC which hold a couple of thousand people. For those of you planning to travel in to see the show from out of town please note that our beloved Ohio State Buckeye football team plays at home that day so traffic will be horrible. While only a few hundred people will be at the Melon show about 105, 000 people will be attending the football game at nearby Ohio Stadium plus about another 100,000 plus tailgaters.

By the way! For anyone who cares: Hyatt Regency Columbus 350 N HIGH ST Columbus, OH 43215 This Hotel is about 1200 feet from the venue. Their room rates are around $130 a night. Also have banquet rooms for a possible BMforum meet and greet/party. If any knows of a HOTEL any closer plz post!

It's probably less than 5 minutes from there to the venue. Also, across the street from the hotel is the Arena District where there are a few restaurants/bars. Now, because it's a home OSU game, rooms might be tough to come by. I was going to suggest a few other hotels but they are all close to OSU and I'm sure they are sold out. And, for those thinking about driving a long distance, keep in mind what Rogers said. This is just the one date that is listed on a club site. I'm sure more will be coming soon though I have to admit to being totally surprised that they'd be playing in Ohio, let alone Columbus. I thought for sure this was going to be a West Coast or East Coast only tour.

But seriously folks....there's going to be a few shows before this one. I was s'posed to have the dates today but I guess now tomorrow because I'm going to go stare at my eyelids for a few hours now. Got up super-early today and didn't sleep well the last few nights. Boo-fucking hoo for me, huh. Hung out at Danny Clinch's film editing place today and looked at a video they did for us....we're going to put it up on the internet in a day or so. I also saw a trailer for a new film he's done about Pearl Jam...looked amazing. I'll put up the dates here when I get them....
