When I was in highschool I almost bought a retired "shortbus". I was going to paint it and redo everything on the inside.

Paul said that if we would buy a motorhome to follow the band we could paint something melon related all over it. But I think then we would REALLY have trouble selling it in the end of our trip Except if we'd find a melonhead who'd buy it of course, then we could ask even more money for it

HEY MELONS!!!! Allright, here is some peptalk to you all.... I discussed this with barbara and I said I would back her up with this idea and the post. First of all, thank you all very much for the information we get. I do read the thread but haven't posted anything... But okay here we goooo, I just believe we have to get this Mobile home full with a bunch of weirdooooo's including Barbara and I! So we have like 3 places left and I haven't seen too many ppl interested to join us. The more we have, the better the vibe and the cheaper it gets... hey what do we want more... GABBEEEE for instance you could be a perfect member for instance or many others... imagine driving this machine on the highway playing Melon, smoking, drinking laughing, shooting pictures and have a 2 weeks blast! Come onnnn keep the thread going and lets have the mobile home full. I just che cked another site in Dutch www.worldticketcenter.nland you can check prices on vans/ mobile homes and planetickets. To travel 2 weeks in september would coste me 950 euro for planeticket and a mucho bingo melon mobile home...! Yeah... what else do we want? Spening money and melon tickets heheh Okay, i hope I promoted enough, game on ppl! Your Melonfriend from the Dutchie Capital!!! PS Just bought again Pearl Jam tickets for June heheh ;-)

Ohhhh, how I wish I could do this... Just reading all of these posts is taking me back to the good ol' Phish days, life on the open road, washing in rest stops, being hungry enough to eat the raw corn out of the farmers' fields, having to actually stop and think about just what state you're in that day.... Wow. But there's no way I can get that kind of time off work, even if I could afford to go that long without getting paid! But listen-- no matter what, when this all happens, you'll almost HAVE to pass through this middle part of the country-- you have to promise to stop here!!!!!! I can find you a good place to park the beast for a day or two, and I can meet some of you even sooner than September! I wish I had the room to say that everyone can crash here, but at least my shower and stuff will be open to each of you... (It's small too- one at a time, please!) This is all counting on the tour coming through St. Louis, which is only like an hour away from me. If they don't, I guess I'll see everyone at the closest stop to me. I WILL see at least one show, whichever is closest. (St. Louis St. Louis St. Louis please guys)

Paul, I'm confused, didn't you say it would be 500 euros per person motorhome and plane ticket included? Here's the option: to rent a 5 pers motorhome for 2 weeks, pickup in Chicago, deliver in New York. 5000 km drive, incl. generator and sleeping stuff... cost 2475 eur total. Including taxes, insurance and everything...did you find this on the dutch ste you posted? So that makes 500 euros per person+melon tickets and other costs. Well this is for Chicago...do they have the same options for other cities? I don't undertsand a sh*t on that dutch site, lol! And keep me out of weirdos #chair# If you're one it doesn't mean I'm one too Charity, if we'll be close to where you live we'll definitely stop by to see you! ;D

In my opinion, I think that Barbara, Paul, Joel, and Marika should fly to the U.S. and pick up Gabbee and Shana in the motorhome. ;D I wish I could say that Greg and I could definitely do it, but we won't know anything until there are actual definite tour dates so don't rely on us. We will probably just end up following your motorhome for a little while if you travel on the east coast (as long as my mom can watch the kids and Greg can get the time off of work). Even if it turns out that Greg and I can't travel, you can plan on crashing at our house...you can set up your tents in the back yard and we will make sure to hose you down and feed you some kitchen scraps before sending you on to the next city. Actually we have a nice little stream at the back of our property that you can use for bathing if you don't like the idea of the hose #lmao# #lmao##lmao##lmao##lmao##lmao# You know I'm kidding...we will treat you like royalty!!! Greg is a great cook and he makes the best margaritas. #smiliecocktail# We will spoil you and fatten you up and turn the Europeans into lazy Americans by the end of your visit.

#lmao# #lmao# You're too funny sonya, I HOPE you're kidding! #lmao# I'm kidding too, I'd take it anyway, I don't care Yeah, Shana, Gabbee and April, weren't you talking about going to the vigil together? What if you join us first and then we all go to the tour AND the vigil? Come on, you know there's nothing more awesome than that, you know you want to! haha!

Yes, if April goes she will keep everyone entertained with her singing and dancing...but I heard she farts a lot under the covers so be careful if you sleep in the same bed with her. Remember...first rule of the roadtrip...Don't poop in the motorhome bathroom #smiliepoo#

Yes, if April goes she will keep everyone entertained with her singing and dancing... Wow, this made me realize something...I don't know about Joel, Marika and Shana but April, Gabbee, Paul and me can be very crazy, speedy and enthousiastic. Can you imagine the trip! I want to go even more now although I didn't think it was possible to want it more Joel, Shana and Marika, maybe you need to reconsider this (even if none of you said you're in by now, haha!), you have to be sure you can stand four crazy people 24 hours/day and sharing a few square meters on the road and during the nights

Well I guess you could #smiliepoo# at a truck stop or gas station bathroom if you were on the road. You can hook up your sewage at a campground so you could #smiliepoo# in the toilet when you were camping. But while you are driving the motorhome and any other time that the motorhome is not hooked up to sewage you shouldn't #smiliepoo# in it because it will STINK!!! When you poop in the motorhome and it's not hooked up to sewage, the poop just goes into a reservoir where it sits until you can empty it out. You can't do what the Dave Matthews Band did and dump the reservoir of #smiliepoo# into the river while you are driving over a bridge! (read about it here if you haven't heard about it yet news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/3597180.stm ) Plus, from what I understand there is no running water in the toilet unless it is hooked up to a water source at a campground...so it's not like flushing a regular toilet where the #smiliepoo# is submerged in water and the water carries it away. It just sits there stinking until it can be emptied. Sorry if this is a graphic post, but I would rather warn you before you learn the hard way. If someone wanted to prank you they might take a #smiliepoo# in your motorhome.

By the way, I made that up about April farting under the covers. I don't want her to see it and be mad at me. Who knows...maybe she does...I just don't know personally... #lmao# #smiliefart#

#lmao# #lmao# sonya news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/3597180.stm #lmao# #lmao# #lmao# It's still not fair to say it was the band if it was the bus driver who did it Too bad it wasn't a boat full of die hard DMB fans, I'm sure they'd be VERY happy if this happened to them #lmao# #lmao# #lmao# (in case any DMB fan is reading this please don't take it seriously, I'm a DMB fan too )April, you have to let us know if you fart under the covers or not!
