Hey that idea of taking baths in the river isn't bad at all! I just don't know if we'll have a river near every time, lol. And I'm not sure it will be warm enough, it probably depends on the state. I'm definitely taking my camera, hehe. I was thinking about publishing an article after comming back since I collaborate with a magazine and a newspaper now and I hope I'll collaborate with more in the next months. I'm just not sure anyone would be interested in publishing an article about a band no one ever heard of here I should probably do a really good job with the pics and text so that they'd be interested...well, this is even more far than the tour, so I'll leave it for now. But yeah, as you can see I already think even about stuff like that, lol.

oh, i'm sure there are services that'll pump your poop, when it needs to go. heck save money and go public!! lol Hey, what did you mean with that? Was it a pure joke or there are public places where you can take a shower, possibly for free? In Paris there are places like that, I never used them but I imagine it's not very clean, I think it's more for homeless people although I heard that not necessarily. There are people who don't have a shower in their homes and go take showers there.

There are plenty of truckstops here where you can pay a few dollars for a shower, they are all along the major highways. I used one once when I was driving cross country and didn't have money for a hotel, I slept in the car and showered at the truck stop. I may be able to get a few days off work, and if you guys are anywhere near me just park the RV and the costco and come to my place for food and showers! ;D I also have a spare room that is open to anyone who would want it.

Hey there B, Yeah u read me well. Mostly it was meant for a joke. But Mere is right. There are truck stops all around! Also, the river idea. If it is in the summer(Canada is not that cold haha...in the summer) it is doable.

Hey those are great news again! Showers at the truck stops and baths in the river sound good to me as far as it makes me save money and rather keep it to make the trip longer! ;D
How was the shower Mere? Not too dirty I suppose since you didn't mention it? I'm not too sensitive if it's a little dirty as long as it's not terrible.

Actually it was very clean, just remember to bring soap, there was a soap dispenser in the shower but I like to use my own. Also bring some flip flops to wear in so you don't get athletes foot.

I would be afraid to get into a polluted river...the truck stop idea would work but like Gelf said be sure to bring your own soap and flip flops. You can always park the RV at my house when you come through N.C.

Barb...since you were wondering about the cost of buying a motorhome, here is a website from a dealer in my town that sells RV's. This link is a list of the used ones that they have for sale right now. They have everything from a full size motorhome to a pop-up camper that you pull behind your vehicle. www.camptown-rv.com/inventory_used.cfmI just started my internet search and I haven't found any rental info yet. I just wanted you to get an idea of what it would cost if you were to buy one.

I found a place that rents RV's and you can get a quote on a price after you enter in where you will be renting the vehicle, how big of a vehicle you would want, when you want it, how long you want it for, etc... www.cruiseamerica.com/rv_rentals/reserve.aspI plugged in hypothetical numbers for how much it would cost to rent the largest size RV for two weeks in June and the total it quoted me was a little less than $4000. The limit of miles you are allowed to drive and not have to pay extra is 1400 miles...that's not a whole lot of miles for a two week trip. On the southeast coast of the U.S. you're going to have approximately 150-300 miles between major cities. In New England the cities are closer together...and once you get out west the big cities are spread pretty far apart. So if the company you would rent a motorhome from put a limit on the miles you're allowed to drive, it would make the most sense to stick to the east coast of the U.S.

Thanks sonya!!!! You rock! This one is really interesting! www.cruiseamerica.com/rv_rentals/reserve.asp2000$ buying price, for 6 people and it looks great! It will be probably sold by summer but it gives me hope we could find something really chip. The good thing about buying one is that we could sell it before leaving the states and maybe save a lot of money this way... Otherwise the prices are about 10.000 at least so that would be too much. The option to rent one for 4000$ is pretty expensive. Paul found one for about 845$ for two weeks, for six or seven persons I think. I don't know if the gas was included though, that could make a big difference. How much does gas cost there?

This is a link to the website for KOA campgrounds. KOA is a reputable company and owns probably thousands of campgrounds all over the US and Canada. You can plan out your trip on their website and it will tell you all of the campgrounds between your starting and ending destinations. www.koakampgrounds.com/Also check this site out just for fun. The RV's are AMAZING and the fact that they don't quote a price makes me think it's probably REALLY expensive to rent one. They are awesome motorhomes though. www.allstarcoaches.com/all_star_coaches_newmar.htm
