I finally gave up, I was curious what's the big thing about this series. I'm pretty much into it now, I'm at the beginning of season 2, I have a lot of catching up to do, haha! Until then, I rather not read this thread, I already read a few spoilers here!

I wonder about something in the last episode of 3rd season, hopefully some of you will remember, I know it's been awhile...
It shows Jack in the future, when he's back home but he's talking about his dad as if he was alive. At first when he says to his new boss that they can go see his dad together and then in the farmacy, he says his dad wrote the prescription. What's up with that, am I missing something? Was he just going crazy, thinking his dad is alive? Also, do we find out who's the person who died (Jack read it in the papers and then tells Kate she might have wanted to go to the funeral)?
Obviosuly, there are plenty more questions in Lost but in this one with Jack's dad I felt like I might be just missing something.
I don't care if you'll give me spoilers by answering those questions, I'm starting to be kinda fed up with all the mysteries (cause I find it's like mistery for the sake of the mistery most of the time, a bit cheap) even though I'm still watching, haha!

SPOILER ALERT (dont look below this if your not caught up and care about this show at all) The guys funeral they are talking about is Locke. As far as the prescription and stuff, I would have to go back and rewatch. Some of that stuff leaves me and some sticks. Favorite show of all time though. They are going to end it before it gets stupid (which I know there are some out there who thinks this already happened).

Thanks Brad, I was just about to post somehting like "nevermind, I just read the first page of this thread" lol. People were only wondering about Locke though, since the thread was created last year and it was the beginning of 4th season. It also looks like Jack's dad might be alive or that Jack saw him like Hurley saw Charlie after he died.
I wouldn't say the show got stupid but it's annoying at times. There's stuff that simply doesn't connect or make sense (but not cause it's meant to be a mistery) and for some of the answers, I was like "oh, ok, so this is it, whatever". Plus, the whole thing is just too stretched through bazillion episodes.
Well, that's the negative side I see about it but like I said, I still watch it, hehe. It's good relaxation before going to sleep and it's still interesting and pretty addicting.

Wow, I love the 5th season! I think it's my favorite! Ahhhh. Me too. I cannot believe the next one is the last. But that is a good thing. The X-Files should have ended in it's prime but it had to be milked.

Ahhhh, I don't know what to think about the ending, still too many open questions. I liked Miles' point about the possibilty the bomb was the incident. I'm confused by all the time travelling, kinda like Hugo and Miles in their time travel debate. I wonder if Locke could be Widmore in Locke's body or something...looks like everything is possible in Lost, lol. Did anyone understand what Richard's answer to the question (what lies in the shadow of the statue) was? Was it latin? it IS addicting! and i am soooo sad the next season is the last season :[ I know how you feel, I'm more of a 24 addict so that's more how I feel about next 24 season being the last one but if I'd definitely be happy to watch a few more seasons of Lost, especially if they were as good as the 5th one ;D I cannot believe the next one is the last. But that is a good thing. The X-Files should have ended in it's prime but it had to be milked. Like antic greeks used to say...leave the party at its highlight, that way it will forever stay in your memory as a great one.
