New Showtime Original Series, called Dexter. It's about a blood spatter expert by day/ serial killer by night. He only kills people who "deserve it", so to speak. Criminals, rapists, etc. Also another serial killer in town taunting him. Awesome, awesome!! Show!!!!!!

It all started with Six Feet Under on HBO... I was going to cancel HBO because nothing was ever on and then Six Feet Under started. I watched it for the last 6 years religiously and the series ended this past year... and now Dexter started on Showtime.. It's a win-lose situation.... win a good show.. lose my money. haha.

Seriously. I've noticed sometimes that the on-demand channel (for showtime) slips up and adds the episodes that haven't aired yet. I saw #8 before 7. It was wierd. I've also watched the entire season of Sleeper Cell on on-demand before it started. That's a GOOD show.
I really need more hobbies, I've been watching too much TV.

just finished the season, Fucking brilliant!!!!!, I'm going to go buy the next book in the series, watching this and csi make me want to study forensics

I'm glad you liked it John  I'm ready for the next season already. I remember back when the forensic shows first came the Discovery Channel, etc.. I got really into forensics. I started reading all about Michael Baden and looking into going to school for it. I still have tons of CSI books and forensics books. I can't seem to part with them. Anyway, the more I thought about being sent to a crime scene where say.. a little kid was dead, or just something brutally disgusting... I felt like I couldn't handle it. So I got into teaching instead... and now I've been looking into going to school to be a nurse. I guess you can't prevent the inevitable. |

I just got done reading both books in the series (the third is due out in september). First off the book is waaaay more brutal and the end is totally different from the series. Not only did they exclude huge chunks but they added a bunch of shit ie.the whole relationship between the killer and dexter's sister, nonexistent. Rita's ex-husband paul is mentioned once in the second book, in fact I don't think he even has a name in the book. But the biggest thing which I have already mentioned is the end, in the book LaGuerta fucking dies! I don't understand how they call the series "adapted" when they remove a vital ending point and add a bunch of stuff. I also just read that instead of using the second book for the second season that they're going to write a whole new plot line and everything... I can't believe this shit. don't get me wrong I still loved the series cause it was well made/acted but for god's sake its a premium channel they don't have to water it down for kids, it could've been a lot better season if they incorporated even a third of what they left out.
