OMG, this thread is hilarious if you read it backwards! I was sooo confused when I read page two!! The black white show was really interesting and guess what.........just found a new favorite!! its called LITTLE PEOPLE. I have a whole new respect for people of shorter stature!! THere is nothing lame about this show--lol Real people with problems you totally can't imagine until you watch it.

I started watching The Osbournes when it premiered, and it was slightly funny to begin with. But then one day, I saw the Prince of Darkness (Ozzy) in bunny slippers. No more reality TV for me. That was just too real! ! ! I have caught the occassional reality show since then, and I have never once been impressed with what I see. If I am watching someone else live their life, then most likely I am not very busy living my own. . . Seeing reality TV even for a few minutes makes me want to go out and do something. . .

hahahaha bobafett i agree with you.infact, tv in general for me makes me abit irritated like i should be doing something useful. but then again....so does work, and school?? hahaha
I watched an amazing documentary once though, about a guy with tourettes, called "johns not mad" i laughed for the first 20 minutes..(mainly because there was a clip from when he was a kid in school, and he swears at his teacher lol ).....but after a while i decided that he was actually pretty cool. If i were his friend i'd make him sing to me...im sure that would help his problem. Dont know why no one else suggested it to him to be honest.

I saw a show similar to that one. I think good reality TV can change how we move others. LIke Black White, toatlly made me rethink alot of ideas. And the Little PEople show, good god, I feel just alot of respect for these tiny people who have to work so much harder to do half the things regular height people can do without a second thought. Someday all of you will see a life changing reality tv show and stop laughing at me--lol

brr.. i don`t like reality Tv)). But, actualy i`ve watched Factory of the Star, it`s music show. In Russia reality TV it`s corruption, it`s money.. I hope it`s everywhere). And i like the documentary program, BBC for example.

Well, I tried to watch it a few times, a croatian one. By curiosity, to see why people like this so much. But all I did was WAITING for something INTERESTING to HAPPEN. But it never did. So I quitted.

i watched a bit of American Idol recently. Im not sure if it would qualify as reality tv. I only watched because they were singing Queen songs and i needed to see how much they bastardized them....i swear.
It was actually pretty funny at some points; it showed the singers talking to the surviving members of the band and showing them the new arrangement of the queen songs that the singers were going to do. Of course the band hated all the new arrangements and kept saying "I would never play that arrangement, i just couldnt do that to my own song."

Used to sometimes watch Surreal Life and Hogan Knows Best but they got old pretty fats lol. Most other reality shows to me are just...boring with no real purpose.

I have watched survivor for many seasons. It was good, but it has lost its kick for me, (ha! if it really ever had one!) To be honest, I think this one...and probably most really seem to bring the worst out in people. I have heard people compare this show to 'coorproate america' and how cut-throat it can be to reach the top... well.. I've never been a part of coorporate america, so I wouldn't know.

Try and catch one. Surreal Life has it's ups and downs. This season basically stuck rock stars, rock star chicks, a wrestler, a playboy chick, a trannie, and 2 old school sitcom stars (Carol Brady/George Jefferson).... lol It was pretty funny. The only reality show I am REALLY looking forward to is Supergroup. It will start airing tomorrow night on VH1 at 10pm EST... Phewwww... Right after the 'Pranos!

Bumcakes you're one of a kind LOL, let me know what the Queen has to say about those rude smilies like #bananaooh#, or this one #sex#, . I think reality tv is a cash cow for networks, they have a pretty low overhead; don't need to pay actors humongous salaries or need writers to keep story lines interesting etc.... I watched the Donald Trump one once when my cousin was here and the mere sight of that sleaze ball makes me want to #throwup#, right on his hideous comb over.
