... i fell asleep like halfway through. I was too tired. BAH! It kind of jumped around but it was the first show and it was explaining who was who and bla bla bla. Based on a family of black-irish brothers though. Just like me. It kind of reminded me of the movie sleepers at the beginning.. the boys getting into trouble.

I watched an episode last night. I don't know if it was a repeat of the one aired on Monday night...I thought it was pretty good. I got a Sleepers vibe off of it, and also a bit of a Goodfellas vibe too. I'll watch it again.

Paul Haggis is from London , Ontario (so am I). He stole that name from a notorius band of Irish murderers that lived in small town called Lucan just north of here. The Donnelly's themselves were eventually murdered by an angry mob! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_DonnellysThere has been a punk band in London for around 20 years with the same name.

yeah it was an alright show i guess, hard to say from the first one so I'll wait... i think it's only based in New York because it's not a Canadian show and when you think Canada you don't think crime or whatever ... but still I'd watch it just because the description of it has "Irish brothers(the brothers because it didn't look right with just Irish but anything Irish lol)" and "organized crime"....how can you lose

The only thing Canadian about it is the name, the rest is fiction. The real story is cool, if you are into true crime and history.

I had to set it up to record on DVR when they re-air it this weekend. My youngest son is getting sick and I was laying down with him when the show came on so I missed the first 15 minutes. Fortunately it will repeat (I think on Sunday) so I'll get to see the entire thing.

Greg and I finally got around to watching the 2nd episode last night. I was very happy that they used two Damien Rice songs in the episode. I think the songs were used properly. I'm really digging this show so far, I hope lots of other people are too so it stays on the air! I think it's more like watching a movie than like watching a t.v. show.

Damn, I missed Monday's episode too. The Bravo channel seems to be playing repeats on the weekend so I guess I'll have to catch it there. I would watch it online, but Greg and I both like the show so we'll watch it together. Our DVR is broken and we should be getting a new one in the mail today. I'm so used to not having to tune in at a certain time that I don't know when anything is on. I've been spoiled rotten by technology.
