I also loved the photo of Sonya and Greg's son on the drumkit! Absolutely precious! Enjoy them as youngins cuz they grow up so fast and don't want to take pictures anymore! My oldest is almost 19 and I all but have to bribe him to take pics with us. Here are mine showing Philly pride....Sean, 18, is on the bottom, Joe, 14 is in the middle, and pretty in pink is my angel Shannon, 6. (notice Sean's chessy "crap if I don't smile they'll make me take more!" smile!

So will Dylan be joining in on the next jam session? Well...at the moment he's a little more "free-form jazz" in his technique so we might have to adjust the type of songs we choose to play. Kev, yes we will all be in a band with you! ;D I'm glad you guys enjoyed that picture. I'll have to see if we can get some video footage uploaded of when the boys first laid eyes on the drums. It was pretty cute. They played drums all day yesterday, and I confess that Greg and I both had some fun trying them out as well. Diana, your kids are beautiful! Do any of them listen to Blind Melon? My youngest is definitely a fan, he's also been getting into Travis' solo stuff.

that's the spirit!!! get it in 'em when they are young'ns ;D Exactly! I always sing Blind Melon songs to my niece and nephew. The other night I was putting my nephew to bed and I was singing Change to him. What did he say when I was done? "Sing it again" Needless to say, he is favorite nephew and will hear nothing but Blind Melon for the next year of his life.

That's amazing! I think it's great that there are little melons out there. Imagine how great it will be when we are going to shows with them when they are older...they will be so embarrassed of us.

My youngest is definitely a fan, he's also been getting into Travis' solo stuff. Thank you and you too Brandy! As far as the music goes, Joe was raised with it cuz I was pregnant with him when they came out. When he was sick (he had cancer but has been in remission since he was 6 months old) we spent alot of time in the hospital from 3 weeks old to 5 and 1/2 years old. When he was old enough to talk he'd get in the car and say, "Mommy, put the Bwind Mewon on!" As he gets older his tastes have changed but I think he knew young that I took my solace and courage from the music. Sean is hip hop hardcore but he can sit down and watch a bit of Letters with me and when I tell him, "Listen to his voice, the passion, just listen and look at him!" he has cried as hard as I have. That was when he was 16 and he totally respects my love for what it is....it's a part of me and who I am. Joe too...very respectful. Now Shannon? My girl is ALL about loving the Melon! She dances and sings and loves all music but she knows who each of the guys are, she knows who she's named after. I got to take her to the vigil this year and it was an amazing experience. It was a difficult moment when we got to the cemetary because then she really understood that she wasn't going to "see" Shannon. She took it very well and fussed over him, moving things "so they were prettier" and talked to everyone....she's 1 of us! She likes the new music too! #hoonsmiley#
