I got the idea from the 1000 journals project. I have been on waiting lists for years to get a journal.. but I think I'm never going to get one at this point. Alot of the journals were lost or kept by people who signed up. They also scanned the journals at different points to update what they looked like. It's really neat. We should start a permanant melon journal and float it around!!!
I'll start that now actually if anyone would like to participate in that!

Just a question, this is just a list of people who wants to participate, right? Not the actual order? It would be great if we could do it like we were talking last time...that once it comes to Europe, european melons send it to all european melons first. I'm quite broke too but I'd love too much to participate. Then it's true that someone will have to send it back to the other side of the ocean... Yeah I didn't mean it in that order, it was just a list of all who wanted to participate and their locations so we could have an idea... The order SHANA posted seems to make sense! Btw, I shipped it out to Sonya and Greg today.. (I wrapped it all nice and pretty but the lady at the post office said it's probably gonna be all ripped by the time it gets there, dang it ) The box weighed 7lbs and 5oz and it cost me only about 12 dollars to ship. Well anyway, let me know when you get it Sonya! I made a list of all the items cause I wanted to explain some of them and also cause there's some paper inside I wanted to make sure you didn't miss anything. Oh yeah, and since I didnt have a blank journal and wanted to get it out quickly I added a little bee notepad that Shannon's sister gave me, so we can just write notes there for all the other melons PS: Sonya, I forgot to put ur card in the box so I mailed it separately! Duh!

And the journal idea is awesome!!! Love it, hehe! The last person should scan it and put it on here since we won't be able to read what wrote melons that got the box after us Or after the box has cycled through everyone we could just start it all over again and keep the box going and going and going and going and going and going and going.... ...you get the idea!

OMG the swapbox just arrived! I want to open it so bad but I think I should wait for Greg to get home from work so we can open it together. The suspense is killing me. It looks like somewhere along the way the box got f-ed up...it's all bashed in on one side. I hope there is nothing breakable inside.

Wow, cooooool, it's already rollin'!!! #banana#
I was thinking...maybe when the box gets to Europe we could throw each one like 2 euros in the box to help the one that will send it back to USA (or wherever it will go then). I don't know if it makes sense, maybe others don't care that much about the shipping price but I'm thinking about it cause I'm broke right now, lol.
Oh, and maybe we could even all throw in like 1 euro (or 1$) and before the box gets to Gabbee, it could be sent to Kiwi and bogo...and they could use all these "1 bucks" to send it...?

I opened the box! Gwyneth Paltrow's head was inside! j/k There is some really awesome stuff in there, it was hard to only choose a few things. My house is fragranced with patchouli right now! I put a few things in there already, but I want to burn some cd's and dvd's to add before I send it off again. This is fun, I definitely think we should keep it going around and around as long as we can afford to. This was a great idea Gabbee!
