#rantonoff# I was watching Much More Music last night, the topic for the Top Ten was plastic surgery. First off it really pisses me off when perfectly fine "normal" looking people have to get trout lips, nose jobs, boob jobs and all sorts of other body work to make it in music. I prefer talent and imperfections thank you very much. In any case, both Steve Tyler and Axl Rose made it on the shows top ten. I had to laugh when they said that Tyler is looking more and more like his daughter Liv and apparently Axl got hair plugs that went terribly wrong and some facial shit done. Gimme a break! Guess who made #1, the one and only Wacko Jacko! Now I'm done ranting, just had to let ya all know.

I prefer talent and imperfections thank you very much. EXACTLY! What makes me LOVE a band is the connection I feel with them, the way I can relate to them sooooo damn much. Real people are not picture perfect, they have bad hair days and a nose that's just too big, or too small... But they DEAL with it. These people live in a fairy-tale, their whole lives are so fucking fake... *rolls eyes*

I can relate more to a band if they're not perfect, because then i dont have to listen to them baring in mind that they are perfect. I can listen to them and think "Yeah they're just like me...they know what i'm talking about"
You know?
I thought so henry, you're so understanding.

Axl is the caucasion version of Wacko Jacko. Why would he do that to himself? You'd think someone with his finances would be able to afford a good plastic surgeon. He looks more like a burn victim or an albino rastafarian.

#lmao# #lol# #lmao# #lol# #lmao# Albino rastafarian now that's brilliant! What went wrong with Axl anyways. I don't know much about him other than he's from Lafayette and he can be an ass sometimes and his plastic surgeon like really sucks!

He looks more like a burn victim or an albino rastafarian. Did someone say "albino rasta?" I just grabbed this pic of Yellowman (who is an albino reggae-dancehall artist) and in the pic that I found, he is wearing a bandana head-wrap - just like Axl is known for. Maybe Axl is consulting with Yellowman. Now can you imagine, being an albino, black man and trying to make it in the world of reggae music? There are many other reggae artists out there that I like way more than Yellowman, but I totally respect him for being who he is, no matter what people think or say. As many rastas say, "no apologies." And I know Sonya wasn't even making fun of any rastas that might be albinos. She was poking fun at people who don't know how to be themselves.

ok, now I feel bad. I had no idea there was a such thing, and never have heard of Yellowman. I do admire people for being themselvs. I was laughing at the creative visual Sonya put out there.... and I am assuming she made it up, which was still pretty funny! Thanks for the update & pics Ryan, you are one resourceful melon!

No need to be sorry at all. I totally understand the comparison of Axl to that of an "albino rastafarian". That's funny stuff. I think the main theme of the thread is actually: people who know how to be themselves, and people who don't. Who in their right mind would do what Michael Jackson has done, or wear what Axl Rose wears? I'm usually not one to point this out, but, that ain't "normal" behavior. And no, I don't know what normal is. . . ;D

That really bums me out, because i still think "Welcome to the Jungle" is one of the best records out there. It's just good from beginning to end.
