Sonya and I really are diggin this music and we have tried to turn others on to them as well If you get a chance check out their myspace @ www.myspace.com/runonsentencemusic We got to see Run On Sentence last night (just Dustin Hamman without the band) and I got permission to video tape his performance which will eventually be authored into a DVD and possibly torrented as well Here is some of the video footage from last night. This is the song he opened with - 'Stonewall' if you are liking this song, go to his myspace and hear the album version with the full band (our first attempt at uploading the high quality version to 'megavideo' failed so that upload is being attempted again....in the meantime I uploaded a smaller version to youtube)

#dance# You know already what I think 'bout this music. There's just something so inexplicably rich (culturally) about the way they write songs. I Love IT #thumb# say, is that an ovation I spot in the background? It could very well be a classical guitar. watching the link.......... now.....

I think the songwriting is amazing, especially for a debut release. He played a few new songs last night that just blew me away. One of the songs he introduced as just having written it a week ago and it sounded so good...I was (and am) in awe of his talent.
I love how in many of the songs the sound will entirely change 3 or 4 times within the same song. It's like you get a handful of really good mini-songs within the body of one big song. My absolute favorites are "November Nights", "The Afterlife pt.1", and "Stonewall" which I think are all up on the myspace page right now.
I highly recommend buying the album. Greg and I are going to pick up a handful of cd's at the gig on the 22nd to give to a few of y'all as gifts. ;D
The two best musical discoveries I personally made last year are The Avett Brothers and Run On Sentence.
Bogo, when Greg and I were talking to Dustin last night we brought up the whole issue of downloading that we were discussing in your pirate thread yesterday. He has the same attitude. He doesn't care if people burn his discs for other people and share the music....he has a donate button set up on his myspace if people enjoy what they hear and want to show appreciation and gratitude by donating. He's really living the "starving touring artist" life which is why Greg and I are going to buy a bunch of his discs for people. We really believe in his music and that it's worth the money to help him be able to do his thing.

Sonya and I went and saw Run On Sentence (Dustin Hamman) last night in Greenville, NC. There were many bands playing at the venue and he decided to play completely acoustic (no mic or amp) He stole the show...he was VERY well received and left everyone there wanting more. Once again I was there with the camcorder and I plan to author another DVD (speaking of which, I will soon be torrenting the DVD authored from the 02/02/2008 performance and I plan to torrent an audio version as well since it turned out so nice)
In the meantime, here is a youtube video of one of the songs Run On Sentence performed last night (because of the logistics of the venue I decided against using a tripod and decided it was best if the video was shot hand-held)
