i bought the album with Song 2 on it...haha i think everyone knows that song. The album was so so, haven't heard too much else. One of the members is in this new band which has a guy from the clash in it, it's called the good the bad the ugly and queen.
oh yeah, bettlebum was an ok blur song too.

I dug them in highschool. The only song that really sticks out for me is boys and girls. I still <3 that song though.

Well they are all shit any boy band has never been good they are very well marketed, and there target audiences are young girls that are going to buy the music cause they don't know any better, and they are attached to the image of young boys. Blur is in that boy band as well, Oasis and all that other British shit is just also well marketed music, and lets face it if you have your name and face out there people are going to buy your music. Look at every American Idol artist who puts out an album they make it on the billboards soon afterwards. Now to differentiate talent between well marketed music is hard to decipher for some people...(cause lets face it some people are easily sold) Do you know that there is behind the scene deals between record companies and major chain radio stations around the country... that in these deals they must play an artist a certain amount of times regardless of what fans actually want...Remember JAmes Blunt's song "Your Beautiful", and how that radio station got the memo to stop playing it so many times a day. All I am saying is that just most people defend there claims by how many albums an artist sells, who else likes them and gives them kudos...What happened to the days of people liking music because it was good, and didn't have image, well marketing, promotional deals with major record companies etc, etc. It is because of the Beatles that there is pop music, and because of that these bands can make money, and follow the well oiled machine that is pop music... It doesn't make the Beatles good. In my mind the Beatles are the worst shit out there (besides John Lennons contributions to the band) I am trying to start something I am just saying I hate when people use these defense mechanisms to say a band is great. IF you really want to say a band is great say EX. Led Zeppelin is great cause they take me to another place, there music is beautiful, and the musicianship is unbelievable. Defending a band on the basis of a guy looking cute is pretty retarded, and doesn't make them good. That is why I love Blind Melon so much because regardless of Shannon having appeal to women, he was beyond making music for house wifes, and teenage girls - he made everlasting music that made an impact on all the hearts and minds that listened to it. Can you dig that

i think youre making a big deal about this stupid thing, a like is a like and u dont need to defend your likes, wtf if i like the beatles? theyre well marketed but still kick ass, so whats the problem with that? i give a shit about markenting.... and if someone likes a band cuase theyre good looking, what do u care? we must be tolerant and accept we're all different. im not the kind of girl that likes a band cuase the singer is pretty (i mean i would have to love megadeth ewwww : but i think thats not a crime, i used to hate that people love bands for their appearance but now i dont care anymore cause we have the right to like whatever we want to like. tahts all ELVA

wait...the Beatles weren't good? #bs#
About Blur - I first heard of them a looooong time ago. A friend's older sister had a 4 song EP of theirs that contained the song "There's No Other Way" which - yes, was catchy as shit. I still like that song. I think I actually still have the EP that I stole from her!
