the new stuff definetly brings a little Neon Ballroom back into the equation
I'm hoping for a Diorama/Neon Ballrom synthesis with some cool other stuff in aswel
I reckon that's the best course of action, & it's certainly what I would like to hear

Seen Silverchair twice and although I was the first time to see the Tea Party (they both played a festival up here) they were alot more raucous then I thought they would be, and the highlight was when ben gillies (drummer) did a drum solo

Hey A_porcupine, have you heard their recent cover of Midnight Oil's "Dont Wanna Be The One"... it is going to be on the Straight Lines single when it comes out i think... Yeah, it's a really fun cover, so I pre-ordered the single. I think this place --> www.jbhifionline.com.au/music/id/999389 is still the cheapest place to do so, although if you live outside of Australia you'll end up playing more for shipping than for the actual disc. In anticipation for the new album I've busted out my "Live from Faraway Stables" DVD again, and I can't wait to see them live. They are great showmen. Has anyone here read their book, "Tomorrow Never Knows" or something of that nature? I'm not quite hardcore enough to actually buy the book (although I'd certainly buy a Blind Melon book ), but I hear it's pretty interesting...

I went and saw these guys along with Powderfinger tonight... Absolutely fantastic... I will post photos and review tomorrow... funniest thing happened though, during the Powderfinger set, during their trademark song "My Happiness" (which is extremely soft in comparison to the rest of their catalogue) some bloke snuck out on stage and attempted to stage dive into a mosh pit full of teenagers, being impeded by the speakers on the edge of the stage as well as the 2 metre trench between the stage and the crowd and landing unimpeded directly on his face on the concrete surface of the arena smashing it in the process... then he rose up concussed and spitting blood on all these teeny-boppers before being taken out by two burly security guards like he was a terror suspect...

Silverchair and Powderfinger cross great divideChristine Sams September 9, 2007TWO of Australia's biggest rock bands joined forces on stage in Sydney last night, as part of a national tour that will take in nearly a quarter of a million fans. Silverchair and Powderfinger played the first Sydney show on their Across the Great Divide tour at Acer Arena at Olympic Park. More than 40,000 Sydney fans were due to see the bands over two nights, with Silverchair and Powderfinger playing separate sets before joining forces for a grand rock'n'roll finale. Daniel Johns and Bernard Fanning sang together on a cover version of Substitute by the Who. Silverchair were first on the double bill, performing songs off their new album Young Modern, plus classic hits ranging from Without You and Ana's Song to their biggest smash-hit single of this year, Straight Lines. Silverchair, which have the biggest success of their career with the Young Modern album, are gaining increased attention in the US, even while they travel across Australia for the extensive tour. Apart from a four-star review for Young Modern in the US edition of Rolling Stone, Straight Lines has reached the top 20 of the modern rock airplay charts in the US. During last night's concert, Powderfinger focused on tracks from their new album Dream Days At The Hotel Existence, but included well-known singles from across their career including Love Your Way and My Happiness. The Silverchair and Powderfinger roadshow is set to continue this evening, as part of the massive tour, which will take in locations ranging from Bendigo and Canberra to Darwin and Townsville. The bands will be on the road together until October 26. Both bands are widely tipped to receive ARIA award nominations this year, with the contest being dubbed "a battle of the giants" by music critics, because of the calibre of rock groups competing for top awards. yhea! great band! ...so young!...
...but now...I don't know, they look really weird, besides when they say that are in his best moment!...don't know...it's weird when you hear frogstomp and then Young modern!...is like an a extremely change!!!
...of course young modern is a result of a growing aspect, in life and music!...and four albums before this!...but it's funny compare how brilliant record is “frogstomp” with all his youth and angry power, and how brilliant record is “young modern” after a whole career and music development!!...
...are like to far away universes from each other! with his own light and shine!...
...theme on my discman this last trips to work!!... ..."Pop song for us rejects" - "Freakshow"
...great song!.
