First of all let me say that FER's story about meeting Sting is way cool!!! I like how you described the whole event. That must've been really exciting! Here's a few photos that I have taken at reggae shows the past couple of years: Burning Spear 08-23-2003 Morrison, CO [Red Rocks] Burning Spear 08-07-2004 Denver, CO [Gothic Theater] Burning Spear 08-08-2004 Fort Collins, CO [Aggie Theater] The Wailers 01-22-2004 Laramie, WY [University of Wyoming] The Wailers 01-22-2004 Laramie, WY [University of Wyoming] The Wailers 08-23-2003 Morrison, CO [Red Rocks] The Wailers 08-23-2003 Morrison, CO [Red Rocks]

I went (more or less) quicky through this thread yesterday. And I love Fer I see so much this feeling (it reminds me of a crazy story that hapenned to me, ok ok, not THAT crazy) and it's true that the story about meeting Sting is written so well...because it's written still in that crazy feeling and total hapiness (well I think hapiness is not a word that's strong enough for this but I just can't find any other). I also went to see Sting in 2000 I think for his Brand New Day tour. I'm not a BIG fan but I like his music a lot and the concert was really really cool! Him + the sound quality of the whole thing - verry cool!!! And speaking about concerts, I just found out Lou Reed is comming to Slovenia on march 13 and I CAN'T BE THERE!!! #banghead# #pout# #pout# #pout# I'm in Slovenia right now and when I found out he's comming soon I just hoped it'll be VERRY soon 'cause I'm leavin' in two weeks... but no. This really sucks, when I went to study in Paris I thought oh cool, there must be lots of great concerts there all the time. And finaly not really. At least not much more than in Slovenia. And if it happens it's always just way too expensive for me. In 5 years I've been there, I only went to see Roger Waters and Medesky Martin and Wood (if I don't count the "small" ones of wich I forget the names all the time...) Peace melons

So I went to see Umphrey's McGee yesterday and the first set was really cool. And between the first and the second set - GUESS WHAT!!! The "mix-table man" put on - GUESS WHAT!!! YES YES - BLIND MELON!!!!! AAAAAAH! SOOOOOOO COOL!!! I don't know if you see my enthousiasm but this was the FIRST TIME I've heard Blind Melon in a public place!!! (not counting No Rain video that I saw a few times on television when it came out...) It started by Tones of Home. Of course I went to see the guy to tell him this is soooo cool!!! I imagined this will be it (Tones of Home) but accualy he just left it on all through the break! I was turning my head all around to see if there's someone else all happy and singing, meat another melonhead maybe, you know what I mean, but no It played Tones of Home, Galaxie, Change, Paper Scratcher, Walk and Mouthful of Cavities! Then just No Rain began (I thought, maybe this song could get people's attention) but right then Umphrey's McGee came back on stage...it's kind of absurd but I didn't want this break to end and I'm sure I was the only person there who wasn't all happy 'cause they were back, haha! Well, fortunatly the second set was REALLY REALLY COOL!!! Fantastic! They TOTALY ROCKED! So everything ended well, haha Damn, I love Blind Melon
