Hello! I've always wondered about the time that Shannon stripped down and pissed on the audience during a show in Vancouver back in the day. I've always found this a little disturbing, thinking that if I was a fan going to a show to see my favourite band, how disheartening it would be for the lead singer to piss on me! Not exactly what you would expect going to a show!  I kind of always told myself that he wouldn't have done this for no reason, and that some ass in the front row must have been pissing him off or heckling him, and that the stream was directed at this person. Does anyone have any info on this...been to that show...or know the pissed on person? Just curious! |

All I know is that Shannon felt REALLY bad the day after when he realized what he's done...Lisa says that in BTM documentary. Shannon also says something about it on the MuchMusic show.

I think he was really high, and i recall that the band said on btm or some other doco that it was a really bad show, but that made it memorable... haha... sure who would want to be peed on, but some people out there have fetishs you know...lol "a deposit of precious bodily fluids"...haha

Wasn't Shannon on acid or mushrooms during that show? And I think Christopher describes how Shannon was taking these little jack-o-lanterns that were already lit, and he was tossing them out into the crowd.

If I'm not mistaken he also threw a pumpkin at the audience. He was definitely wrecked. In BTM Chris talks about the pumpkin and he said he was thinking something like "oh no, he's not going to throw that pumpkin", and then whoops the pumpkin goes flying. I thought it was kind of funny.

why doesn't anybody have a copy of this show  there has to be a recording of it bc you can hear in the btm shannon singing "happy halloween happy halloween" right at the beginning of 'time.' it sounds pretty cool. and in the btm when it shows shannon rolling around on stage in like a white loin cloth or something, actually it looks like a big diaper is that from the halloween show? and if it is how would we get the rest of it? |

what a funny thread. always wanted that show on dvd. its gotta be a classic even if it was a bad show. to have that would be priceless in my opinion. the show has gotta b out there. i bet only the band has it. i want it.

Im sure the band probably wants that show to be forgotten especially considering the shape Shannon musta been in, but I think we should start a petition or something... Heck, Id sell an arm for a copy of that show! |

I dunno, I'd get over it pretty quick and think it's funny. I just wouldn't wanna see any wangage, although it's too late for that now from all the documentaries.

From the few things I've heard him say about it,he was very remorseful about it.On the much music show as most of you already know he was talking about how in the heck is he going to explain that to his daughter & said he'd give her the guy hosting the shows number.
You know I've done some stuff that I'm not too proud of & it still comes up around certain people & I have no defense or excuse for it.That sucks.

Hey!
I just seen the VH1 show last night (thanks Matt!), so it did clear it up a little for me. Poor guy must have been soooo wasted! I'm assuming all the footage of him rolling around the stage in his underwear is from that show...he looked pretty out of it!

I think it's sad that he was that messed up but I would love to hands on a copy of that show. It must have been a priceless experience.
