I recently had the opportunity to talk with Nel, and I asked her about this screen-capture. She said that when Shannon took the greyhound out to L.A., he had to stop at some station in-between, and a photographer in that town took this picture and it ended up in the newspaper. Shannon got a copy of it, and apparently Axl Rose told him he should save that clipping because it shows him on his way out to California to become a big star. How cool is that?!? She wanted me to share that story with everyone. Thanks, Nel!
