I asked her a while ago and didn't get a response. I also have no update on whether or not Rogers and Shannon's Niece are still doing a tune.

Between the Buried and Me will issue an album's worth of covers called The Anatomy Of sometime in June. The band puts its stamp on Pantera's "Cemetery Gates," Sepultura's "Territory," Soundgarden's "The Day I Tried to Live," Mötley Crüe's "Kickstart My Heart," Pink Floyd's "Us and Them," Queen's "Bicycle Race," Metallica's "Orion" and "Blackened," and Faith No More's "Malpractice." The boys also tackle "People Are Strange" by the Doors, Depeche Mode's "Little 15," "Geek U.S.A." by the Smashing Pumpkins and Blind Melon's "Change".Between The Buried And Me revealed the artwork for their forthcoming cover album "The Anatomy Of" which will be produced by Jamie King (Through The Eyes Of the Dead). The effort will be released on June 13th via Victory Records. Cool *maybe you`ve spoken about it... don`t know*

If he did there are two possible outcomes:
1. He will turn up late & the album will be delayed for several years as he can't get off his arse to record vocal tracks/is never happy with how they sound.
2. He will bully the other members of Blind Melon into signing the rights to the name & songs over to him, create a mismatch band decimating Blind Melon songs & fall once again into obscurity.
All joking aside I would love to hear his take on some Melon songs.

I think the only place to get the CD is from the website. I am 99.9% sure Axl won't be on the album. None of the bands are getting royalties. It is basically indie bands showing love for Melon. At the same time, we (the bands/still crossing my fingers) get name recognition and will be exposed to new fans. That's worth more than royalties, in my eyes.

I was one of the first to send in and meet the original deadline. They extended the deadline many times, to get more submissions (since the didn't have enough). I promoted the hell out of the album (which should count for something, right?). I've got flyers hanging up from California to Liverpool.
