If I absolutely had to make a choice (as in, if I were only allowed one CD while deserted - no pun - on an island) it would have to be Soup.
EDIT: Messed up italic code. j.r. fixed it.

I could say Soup... But then I think of the time when I first listened to Blind Melon and it was in '93-'94 with the self tittle... But then I think of Nico... So ...I'm sorry But I can't decide! Fer :off:

Picking a favorite Melon album is like picking your favorite sexual position, they're all great anytime of the day and they're never bad. But I would have to say Soup, it flows so good from beginning to end but the self-title album is perfect to listen to while burning and does kick major ass, and Nico is just awesome, BM sounds great raw, produced, or live. So the answer is... I dunno, I'll tell everyone at the end year after the 2 new Melon albums are released. I got it, the best one is the Head Train Demo I recieved from Charles. But then Soup is so awesome. FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK, , they're all soooo wonderful.

Like the rest of you, I feel that its really tough to decide. First of all, it depends on what kind of a mood that I'm in, but most times, I like listening to the self-titled album. That one seems to take me back to that time period in my life more than the others do, and I just enjoy that sense of nostalgia that goes along with that album. -Ryan

Blind Melon seems like they're really at ease, just jamming. I can picture Shannon just sitting around singing most of it. But yeah. Soup is good too, they should have done more country tinged songs like "Skinned," but I do like the cellos and all in such songs as "Car Seat (God's Presents)" and "St. Andrew's Fall." But yeah. The first one if my faveeee.

I agree,it's near impossible.I can't even finish typing this post before I change my mind about it.They all take me back to different times in my Life over the past 9 yrs. or so.Nico stands alone as the 1st Blind Melon cd I bought & has always seemed so damn personal, like he's actually in the same room, Soup would be my choice if I was stranded on a Desert Isle but I would have to say the Blind Melon cd has always been played the most.Lately though it has been the Classic Masters cd that has been getting played the most actually.

i really cant decide between self titled and Soup, they are just amazing albums... but i think i'll go with the S/T 'cos its the one i've listened more and i love the guitars complementing each other.

It's almost as like they aren't even playing the same song. They just toss two leads in and let the bass carry the actual tune. They are definately and interesting band.
