Hi All! Hope everyone's got their fall clothes packed and ready to hit the road! Shannon's mom, Nel, has been working hard getting prepared for this years Annual Shannon Hoon Vigil and I hope everyone can make it! Melonheads are coming in from as far as New Zealand and Australia to support the annual event, celebrating the life and music of Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon! This years Vigil will be taking place on Saturday, September 23, however, some Vigil-goers come into town much earlier to pay respects. Also, it is confirmed, the 4th Annual Vigilstock show will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2006! After some last minute venue problems and line-up changes, we are proud to announce this year's full artist line-up! "The Jaybirds", an acoustic band from Canada, featuring our Vigilstock Emcee, Toes! "Moedell", an acoustic artist from MN, featured on the Blind Melon Tribute Cd, "Twenty Stories Below". "Subject to Change", an all acoustic band from Lafayette, IN, "Scott Fish", an original acoustic artist from Ohio, presenting a tribute song to Nel Hoon's poem for Shannon, "The Angel". "Lefty", an electric Melon band from Lafayette, IN, and headliner, "The Clayton Miller Blues Band", "America's Got Talent" 2nd place Finalists, and "Sunshine Behavior", an all electric band from MN. Hope to see you all soon! Karen

Matt a man of many talents, ne croyez-vous pas? Hey, I've got my map and have plotted my course. So I'm going to jump into my souped-up, super cool 4 door Cavalier and zoom on down to Lafayette! So a Canadian band is going to be performing, I love it!

Mais non, tu es tort. Il et beau, ton anorak, et toi aussi! I learned that in French class. Strange... :Dvery useful! It's strange what we learn in language classes, haha I remember when I was in Paris and my boyfriend came to visit me and everyone had to talk to him in english cause he didn't speak french. My cusin who was 14 y.o. did his best and tried to use what he learned in school so he kept asking my boyfriend: "So, do you think it's cool to keep the animals in the zoo???" He was so ironic and wanted to show how useful his english classes were lol God bless him.
