Man what a night last night as we finished off the vigil with the vigil stock....no to be honest in my opion Jug Town Priates brought the house down and was the best orginal all night! As for BM cover I would say Speaker Mind Ft. Jena was the best (even though i had to help her with the words to the songs but we wont go there) but those two were the hightlight of the night! Steeleto also rocked, but they were the last show at 2am and I think everyone had just about enough for the night. But there was lacking that vibe that u get at the vigil when everyone is singing along and into the music. So me and Bob (Zoe's B/f) are going to plan our own thing and hopefull get the crowed involed for a Blind Melon ONLY jam out session to reamber shannon togeather. If they let us do the vigilstock that is next year. Got to find out who to talk to about that, any how the Vigilstock was awesome for those who couldnt make it! But The Vigil Was Better! 363 Days And Counting Untill Next Year!

bedtime story for bumcakes:
once upon a time, in a cemetery far, far away, there were dozens of melonheads celebrating the life and music of their favorite frontman, Shannon Hoon.
suddenly, the melons heard music--crazy foot-kickin music like nothing they'd ever heard before. many of the melons got up and went to see where this music was coming from.
and what an amazing site they saw!
there was a guy playing a washboard with a frog and cymbal attached!
and a guy playing a bass guitar made from a wash tub and a bungee cord!
and the guy doing bong hits wasn't actually smoking anything at all! the "bong" was really a jug, and he was part of the rhythm section!
and there was this girl, in the middle of it all, and what pipes she had on her! this girl was belting out “no bidness” like it was NO one's bidness!
and low and behold, there were melons jamming with this crazy band! cody was rockin out on guitar, and bob was playing percussion on the back of his acoustic.
the melons all started dancing. they were so impressed.
nel was dancing, too, and the melons cleared out a spot and got a chair so that vernie could be up front and enjoy the band, too….and she loved it!
word got around that this band would be playing vigilstock the following night. all the melons knew that they would totally steal the show.
“jugtown pirates” was their name and they came from Vermont.
and they did steal the show at vigilstock. every melon in the place was dancing.
most of the melons have now returned to their far-away homes, and they can’t wait till next year. they are all hoping that the jugtown pirates play again.
they also hope to see the melons who couldn’t make it this year, like bumcakes and diego and paul and lillie……
and they will all live happily ever after.

The stories are awesome guys, can't wait to hear more and see some pics. I was at Riehle's on Sunday but was unable to make it to the rest of the weekend. Can't wait till next year so I can meet all of you wonderful melons........

Vigilstock ROCKED!!!!
I danced so much my feet HURT! And thats cause I was videotaping half the time or I would have danced a lot more...
Everyone played really well, I was fucking BLOWN AWAY!!! In fact, thats the only way I can describe how I feel about the whole weekend... blown the fuck away!!!!!!
